Wondering what the guernsey on the wall behind Bernie is?

Mamma Mia – A Record Night

Quote:
The Carlton Banquet Auction was an enormous success last Saturday night with Bjorn Again ensuring all guests had a memorable evening. As well as being an enjoyable evening it was also a record breaking night for the Club with over $500,000 raised for the Club.

Quote:
One of the highlights of the evening was the sale of two very special Carlton guernseys. The guernseys were framed and sold as one item, one Carlton home guernsey and one clash guernsey from last year. What made these guernseys so special were the signatures that featured on them – All of All of Carlton’s living premiership players since 1938.

Quote:
The winning bid of $30,000 come from Bernie Shackcloth, a Carlton member from Darwin who flew down to be at the function on Saturday night. And Bernie said the special item is worth every cent.

I'm picturing Bluechucky at the footy, knitted rug over the knees, thermos of not-too-strong tea by his side, clapping politely at the plays.

"Well done, 25, nice kicking" he'd say, peering up over his reading glasses.

Isn't this the same bloke who has a history of making winning bids for expensive items at Carlton auctions? You'd think the players would be runnining around with SHACKLOTH! on the shorts by now...

Ha ha, it wasn't chamois on the back of Carlton's shorts last year, but Shackloth!

What you do at the ground and what you do at work are two completely different things.

But it was comments directed at colleagues (although still wrong) and not members of the general public. We cannot even be certain that the comments were heard by anybody else but those whom, the comments were directed at...

Still I'm sure most would agree - funny but stupid.

(But more funny than stupid...)
