Seems to have a hard arse attitude about him, which I like. And really looks like he enjoys his footy, which I like. Kicks long left foot goals, I like that also. I like him.

The boy can run and is super quick. Watch how easily he glides across the ground.

In 3 years time, Hampson will be the one we are all talking about. It could end up being the best draft we have ever had. Gibbs, Grigg and Hampson.

and Aussie.

well done Grigga. his development has been excellent this year. i wasn't so sure about him at first. I may have been caught up in the hype over Jetta and Proud. I couldn't understand why we didn't take either of them when available. slowly but surely Hammer and Grigga are proving all the doubters wrong, however.

Well done to all involved in getting the young fella to the club.

Don't forget Aussie. He's tracking quite nicely for a bottom aged KPP.

I dunno if he sucks... comparatively, yes, but players of his type are always going to be the compliment - rather than the nucleus of a good side.

If I had a flux capacitor and had the choice of

1. Hardness, size and a genuine dislike for getting beat
2. Pace, flare and vision

I would take #1 every time. think back to where we were at after the 2006 season - we had had sand kicked in our face for the last 6 years. We were getting laughed at. The prospect of picking a kid who might start - and win - a fight would've been too much to pass up.

The only question would've been off-field attitude and we had already established that we wouldn't be accepting any more flower.

Tick the 'not a flower' box and then see where you can fit him into the team. This year's 'Leeroy Jetta' type player would get more of a look in than the 2006 version.

I keep thinking Aussie was taken in last years draft because he is so young.

It's a shame that Benjamin has not come on and will probably be de-listed at seasons end. Anderson looks ok.

What a find is Jamison!! How can such an athlete be looked over at the draft? Perhaps recruiters were worried about his shoulder??

His closing speed is the best I have seen for a while and his field kicking is A grade.

It does make you wonder what Jammo was doing with his time for him to be overlooked for so long. Sounds like it would make a very interesting article if someone interviewed him and found out his story.

Had my doubts based on some of the pre draft reviews but Shaun Grigg has been a very good selection...as Mickstar suggested he adds some mongrel to the team and I have been impressed with his concentration when tagging players and now we are seeing him not just being negative but running off his man and providing us with some drive. Thought his work vs Port was great and I think Wayne Hughes would be very happy with what was a brave choice given many of the media/scribes had players like Hislop, Jetta, Houli etc ahead of Grigg..

I've done a quick sprint across the "Official" sites and couldn't find any notices in relation to the Round 19 Rising star ...... you'd think Grigga has to be a show.

Probably playing at a lower level and focussing on something other than being a footballer... there was an interview he did on 3AW a while back and he actually sounded like he could string a sentence together.

Very level head. Whatever his background, I just hope he passes his knowledge on to the next generation... big ask for a player so young, but he just seems to have it in him.

Although, I have a bit of a soft-spot for the reliable defender... How many games has he played again?

Waite, when interviewed just before the break said he was heading to Cairns with Fisher and Jamison.

I reckon from that he is already in the middle to senior bracket at the club despite playing less than 25 games.

Then we all stand to look mighty silly if it doesn't happen.

Jamo use to be a forward in the U18's until Gav threw him down back at Nth Ballarat (VFL) and the rest is history.
