Fev -> higgins+warnock+pick 14ish (dogs 1st round)

No chance! Why would the Dogs do that? they would get him to nominate for the national draft and hope he lasts til their first round pick. Their biggest threat in the ND is Sydney, but they would need to free up a heap of cap space first.

If the dogs chose to trade, at best they would offer their 1st pick, plus and average player as compensation for not getting Fev to nominate for the draft.

Just caught the end of The Footy Show. Jonothan Brown was on the panel and they had a segment where contestants from clubs came out with gifts to entice him to sign with their club.

The Carlton guy offed a maximum chips (poker chips) and an all pineapple pizza ($50 notes taped to the bottom of the box. Two Brisbane supporters offered a greyhound who'd won $80k and a framed picture with Fitzroy players. A Collingwood supporter offered a punching bag with Aker's photo taped on it.

The Collingwood supporter won the audience vote, but thats not the point. How dare Brown take part in a segment discussing his future when he's still out of contract? He's a disgrace, using the media in such a way. Very selfish *insert the rest of the diatribe here*

Its funny listening to the people who think Fev is selfish and a distraction and we should trade him, then think a club is going to give up 2 first round draft picks for a selfish distraction.

no chance of Fev getting past the demons in the ND (they have salary and NEED a big name signing). In the even that he did get past, the crows/saints/richmond would pounce beforehand. If the dogs (or sydney) wanted Fev they would have to trade for him

The Dogs signed Welsh after Carlton and Richmond passed on him after he was cut for something other than his goalkicking.

The Dogs traded 30 and 38 to get Hudson who is 29 this year.

The Dogs gave up a second rounder for Akermanis who is a tool.

They also traded picks 29 and 59 in the superdraft for McDougal who has already retired.

Clubs will trade picks if they can get a gun and a matchwinner who could win them a premiership.

Eade would jump at the chance to get Fev when Johnson appears to be on the decline as a player.

Fev has two years on Aker who was 30 in his first year as a Bulldog.

Fevola didn't play alot of footy in his early twenties and won't lose his ability to kick goals when Aker is still firing at 31.

He could easily play for at least another five seasons if he stays injury free.

I think Sydney who didn't baulk at trading second round picks in the superdraft for Everitt who was 32 at the time.

A first rounder, a second rounder and a mid would do me.

This thread would already be advanced by 10-15 pages if Fev had done what Brown had done.

Makes a lot of people look pretty silly in this thread unless they protest Brown's actions here or in a thread in TalkingAFL.
