Hear Hear. Fev is Fev. That's just him, as he's said. Just a big kid still that can certainly play footy.

I can guarantee you that no one would have made it an issue if we had won that match.

Can't see an issue with it and don't know what the fuss is about. If Fev went and high fived a Saints player after the player kicked a goal, then there would be a problem. But when the game is over, I don't see anything wrong with it.

now I don't care one way or the other, but really, it is because w e lost that people reacted - so to argue no one would have said anything if we had won well da

Wayne Harmes was a bigger Richmond fan than Fevola is a St Kilda fan.

Harmes' uncle coached Richmond, he would have been allowed on the inner sanctum at Richmond as a kid, but I can never remember him hugging Bartlett after a match, playing tongue hockey with Mervyn Keane or clasping arms with Rowlings.

I know Fev is an unusual character - but I think there is a time and place for his actions. It didn't show concern for HIS teammates. Although he may want to play for St Kilda - he plays for the Blues.

Hug Harvey... but hugging 3 or more St Kilda players is a bit over the top....but I guess Fevola feels he can do no wrong and his actions were warranted. Maybe we just have to accept that Fev is different...very different.

I could have sworn Fev said he followed Richmond as a kid, a while back recounting his childhood days with Chris Newman and that Fev and his mum supported Richmond and Newman's family Carlton, anyway whatever.

The guy basically just needs to shut up and play some good footy. For his sake and that of our slim finals chances.

Fev reminds me of Jonah from Summer Heights High, he even gave us a "but Miss, Jarrad Waite and Marc Murphy haven't signed yet neither"

Some people still just don't get it. Fev will say anything to keep the easily influenced on his side. I have heard him say that he followed Collingwood, Richmond and now he is saying he followed the Saints when he was a kid. Maybe he followed them all I don't know.

That is Fev, he p*sses on your back and tells you it is raining. This is why I am over him.

Fev followed StKilda as a kid, and idolised Plugger.

His Mum was a Richmond supporter.

Why is it all the young players when interviewed & asked about Fev - ALL say they love him & that he helps them settle into the place - HIM, not others but FEV. He would be the first person to welcome a new bloke into the team, put his arm around them (without them having to wear an opposition jumper) & say "Welcome mate, we'll look after you". I don't know where you get that he's not team oriented. Who goes & chases down the umps after a milestone game to get the game ball for that player. Fev does.

Fev has a HUGE heart & sometimes that is going to get him into trouble, but the other players know what type of person he is & THAT is why they forgive & move on.

YES he does some silly things, but if any one else did the same thing they would not be as heavily scrutinised as Fev. What did he really do last week. He gave away a free kick for pushing a player away (to try & lead for the ball) He made contact with the face which as others have stated previously & I agree, could have been accidental. He then gave away 50m which was silly. So he gave away a f/kick & 50m. No, you're right, no-one's ever done that before. & before anyone states he lost us momentum & therefore the game (etc) - It was in the first quarter. If we can't pick up our momentum with 3 qtrs to go then there's something seriously wrong & I don't think that's all Fev's fault.

I dare say the rest of the team look at Fev's "incidents" & think you bloody fool, what did you do that for. I'm sure they are pissed with him after the game for doing so BUT they get over it & move on. Why can't the "supporters", because the last time I looked Fev was wearing a flowering Navy Blue jumper, just like the rest & will be again next year & the year after, so get used to it.

How long are people going to whinge about him? Fev is Fev & if you don't like him the way he is - BAD LUCK - build a bridge & get over it.

BTW I have changed my Av just to piss the Fev haters off. Absolutely sick of the Fev bashing.

couldnt agree more with you tianacon..

I know when i used to play rugby union years ago and my best mate played for the oppisition and every time we came up against each other after the game we would shake each others hand and give each other hug..

it wasnt becuase either one of us lost or won... it meant that doesnt matter at the end of the day we walk away still being mates and how we had a great game...

i would also shake every other guys hand and say well done on a good game

Where is the sportsmanship these days....

is it only football that after a game ya dont shakehands with the oppisition

if fev was to to hug and shake hands during the match with the oppisition thats when we need to be concerned

i say good on fev to be able to walk up to the oppisition and give handshake and hug his mates that he is close to

Just becuase fev is playing for carlton it doesnt mean he cant have friends who play against us...

I think majority of us guys who like to watch fev and watch how he plays the game also understand he does some silly things at times that brings him undone

but there is a saying in life its better the devil ya know then the devil ya dont... atleast we know about fevs antics offield and onfield

cheers
OZ

QFT

The incidents in isolation don't really mean much at all. The context of the contract talks, the 50m penalty and the loss just chuck a magnifying glass over it.

I don't actually see anything wrong with putting an arm around Robert Harvey. Milne as well is pushing it, but when we see Fevola doing these things, we see the frustrating and undisciplined Fev, and so we are viewing him in a bad light before we even look at what he's doing.

For me it was the Milne arm around the shoulder that was the bale that broke the camels back.....
