Murph,

we owe you one!
100th game should coincide with Flag17!

I may be just being a cynical bastard here, but I'd be interested to know how much of that article is actually Murph, and how much is the club's PR/Media people.

My answer would be: who cares?

Murphy is our great son.

Quote:
As soon as you walk into the club you quickly become aware of the rich history of the place.

There have been so many players who have pulled on the same guernsey that I do each week that became regarded as some of the greats of the game.

Just looking at the lockers, you see all the names of the players who played 100 games for the club or have won a premiership and it really gives a sense of belonging.

I’ve played 50 games so far, so I look at it that I’m halfway towards getting my name on a locker, which I would consider a huge honour

You can tell Murphy can read, and that he comprehends the importance of having your name on a CFC locker; it's valued by the kid, I suspect, given the names who have earned the right.

I now believe that Hamill either couldn't read, hence missed the significance of the names...or he did not understand the word "honour".

I love you Murphs.

I'm sure it's written by a media trained person of some sort, and passed by Murph. Whether the article is based on an interview with Smurph, or is a bunch of quotes attributed to him is largely irrelevant, IMO.

From what I've seen of Smurph and heard from him, he's a smart kid, with a good head, and an understanding of club tradition.
