Nice one verbs. :)

Fev has always had an appreciation for the history and significance of milestones in the game.

I'll never forget before he had even played 20 games for Carlton he was chairing players off the ground in milestone games. Usually you only see veterans doing this. Some may have seen this as impetuousness, but over the fullness of time we can see that Fev is genuinly passionate about the milestones of fellow players. A true team man.

I'm a little disappointed Fev didn't chair Harvey and Milne off - surely as a a loyal Saints man that should've been his #1 priority.

Shame he didn't have the same respect for Smurph's 50th then last Friday as he had for Ol' Man River Harvey.

thats a fair enough comment Jars, and good on Fev for doing that.

But there's still little excuse for his actions towards the other St Kilda players. By all means make a point of shaking Harvs hand. But thats where it ends.

I've got no problem with Fev being criticised for putting his arm around Milne.

Whatever we pay Fev from now on will be too much. I'd hate to see him in another jumper. But he's gawn.

What do we have to do to get Foley and King? Do you think Richmond would be interested if we offered Fevola?

Screw King. I'd take Foley and Riewoldt (sp?) or Hughes in a heartbeat.

I have some BIG news. Fev will turn down the Contract offer and Quit AFL football to Sign a 3 year deal with Bollywood, making him the First AFL player to try his luck in India...

There was confirmed reports that Fev have been to India early this year for a try out Trial... here is the Proof:

Outstanding effort. With posts like yours this thread should get to 100 pgs easily.

As the crazy supporter from the movie "Water Boy" said - "You can do eeeeeeeeeeeeet"

For some reason I get the impression that we're forgetting about Fev's management here. They're the ones who have Fev's ear, they're the ones who are going to get a nice little cut of the contract, so of course they're gonna try and haggle more. Plus, isn't this management group a little inexperienced in these things??

If it really was as simple as us normal folk signing onto a new job, Fev would've signed by now, but because there are third parties involved then things become complicated.

What happened last time Fev's contract was up for renewal??

If you believe what you read his managment had advised him to sign. If you believe what you read Mrs A. Fevola seems to have more of a "negative" influence.

This article in The Age reports Fev defending his hugging of Saints players last week: http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/news/f ... 59392.html

I watched the St Kilda game last night and I have to say Fev's behaviour after the siren didn't bother me at all. Its a game of football - you go 100% but when the final siren goes, its good to acknowledge your opponent and if you are mates with them, or if you idolised them as a kid, what's wrong with getting over and having a chat or puting your arm around them in good grace. No-one bats an eyelid when it happens in lower grades. Probably no-one would hav batted an eyelid if anyone other than Fev had done it.

I can guarantee you that no one would have made it an issue if we had won that match.

Can't see an issue with it and don't know what the fuss is about. If Fev went and high fived a Saints player after the player kicked a goal, then there would be a problem. But when the game is over, I don't see anything wrong with it.
