Just heard this on Nightline - Carlton offered Fev a 3 year deal to tie him up
early, only to have his management reject the offer.

I may have misheard this next bit, they mentioned a 4 year offer - i'm not sure if that is what Fev's management is holding out for, but 4 years was definitely mentioned, in what context I don't know.

(Anyone else watching Nightline care to fill in the gaps? Don't worry, I won't mention the fact the 'Girls of the Playboy Mansion' was on directly beforehand... )

News thing ended with them saying that the contract talks with Fev have now been put on the backburner until closer to the end of the season.

If Fev is such a dsitraction and detracts from a team so much...why would anyone give us 2 first rounders for him?

I hope Kruezer, Murphy, Gibbs et al, don't look at how Fev has handled his contract negotiations and think this is the norm and how it is done.
