This is over from the CSC Site by bigrocks: Is it true ????? Gro, Synbad, Josh

"an update on the fev contract.....have had a chance to have a more detailed chat, beyong SMSing!!

anyways, the low down is that Fev 'verbally agreed' to the contract on Friday morning. As the club were playing on Friday night, they said something to the effect of, "dont come in to sign the contract on game day, focus on the game and we'll get it sorted next week".

Later on Friday (this may explain Fev's game), Fev withdrew is verbal acceptance to Greg Swann, who quite rightly was miffed, and that is pretty much the flavour of the interview he gave on SEN. Obviously Fev had a chat with Alex who wasn't real happy with the offer....

Swann then passed this info onto Ratten and Pratt and co. This resulted in Ratts' radio jibe resulting in Fev's retort.

Now I am led to believe Fev contacted the club on Sun arvo and has agreed to sign in the vicinity of $650k pa. He was either signing this morning OR today at some stage. But Fev being Fev, he may have changed his mind again.

If he has signed today, it will be announced this week.

What a drongo is our Fev. "

As an opposition supporter, I've said it before - I love Fev. I'd love him at the Pies but am not deluded enough to ever believe that would happen.

I just want to make a point that after his radio statement on Saturday, if he doesn't re-sign with you then I hope you all gain a little more respect for Collingwood's absolute hatred of Nick Davis.

If you're not 100% sure you're staying, then don't say you are.

That said, I hope he does stay with you. As a general football supporter, it's always good to see great players stick with the one team for their whole career. (unless they want to come to the Pies. Which doesn't really matter because all clubs hate us and refuse to deal with us. Except Freo. Yeah, nah, they're good. No, actually they're really shit and have no choice. Thank God for Freo! )

We would appreciate if you can tell us anything about what happened..... I hope what was posted is not true, as if it is I cannot believe it.

Is there anything you can say, as a few of you which are normally correct were saying the same thing last week, obviously something happened..... Any updates ?

Thanks so much, hope I am not imposing.

I highly doubt Fev will or has been offered a 650k a year contract. I'm thinking more like 550K including a marketing component.

He not worth one cent over.

Please, more positive news from you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever gone to a Carlton live game ? You seem to really hate Carlton, or maybe you are miserable about life in general. You make me laugh.

I dont have any inside info at all.... but based on the happenings of the past 48-72 hours... I'd be very, very surprised if The Fev hasn't signed in the next few days fevola

Being reminded of the footage from the weekend on Footy Confidential of Fev hugging every single St Kilda player...it is distressing viewing.

Putting his arm around Milne.... :(

If he stays with Carlton, I hope to never see him do stuff like that again.
If he moves to another club, The Gold Coast barons or Gold Coast fish or whatever they are called, hug away.

For me even though I thought the hugging was ordinary it didn't really worry me it just showed what we already know. Fev no matter what he says does not bleed for the jumper. If Fev was a tennis player or a golfer he would be a star as it would be all about him and he would thrive and it wouldn't effect anyone. His personality quite simply doesn't lend itself towards team sports. He was like that as a junior when I worked with him at U18s and he hasn't changed. It was the main reason he was drafted so late and several clubs refused to draft him.

The thing I really can't handle is that the St Kilda game was vital and winning would of had us well inside the 8. It was also a game targeted by the club as one we need to win and deal with our poor record.

From the start Fev came out and acted like a spoilt brat. He didn't like playing up the ground and not being the MAN at FF.

He has been with us for 10 years and HASN'T changed one bit in that time, what makes people think he will now?

Parkin & Brittain wanted him gone and they went instead.

He will sign I have no doubt and it will do us not one bit of good. Would absolutely love to see us play without him. I have no doubt other players would stand out and you would see a much happier team.

Maybe it is time for Judd and Co to stand up and put him in his place.

Perhaps Carrots should also have a word in his ear about his friendly attitude to a player that just kicked 5 goals on him.

I'm sure Carrots loved the support that Fev threw his way.

He is high maintenance, but he should have a huge upside.

He should be considered the best forward in the league, but instead we are distracted by all his other stuff.

With a more functional forward line, pressure should be released from him.
I hope............. :?

I would say he bleeds for the jumper but instead of trying harder - he goes into sooky la-la land instead if things don't fall his way. Hugging opposition players is sooky la-la land stuff.

Some people react to pressure in different ways. He couldn't handle the pressure on Friday, so he goes to sooky-la-la land.

If there are more forward options - then there is less opportunity for him to be in the land of the fairies.

I hope when Fev re-signs cj69 that you go and support another team because you will have a huge conflict of interest.

No supporter who "bleeds" for his team makes comments like you do about our own.

Tired of reading your constant crap..........

Gee MadBlue,

Mark Maclure and a few other Carlton blokes have made similar comments about Fevola, and I don't see anyone questioning their commitment to the club. I am writing this as someone who would have traded Fev years ago, but remain convinced the club will re-sign him. The fact I pay a membership every year means I contribute to the success or otherwise of this club, and I would like to think that cj69 does the same. In the end, we are all entitled to our opinions, especially those of us who fork out hard earned to be members. I don't think cj69 deserves the sort of post you have just written about him.

Pretty ordinary that MB.

cj is entitled to his opinion, go somewhere else if you can't handle differing opinions to yours..
