Cons:

- Fumbles
- Lack of knocking the opposition player out of the contest to stop the 1-2
- Lack of hard running in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.
- Stupid decision making in the last quarter. Bentick, Cloke, Waite and Jamo all costly mistakes.
- Too many players out of form getting games.
- Lack of manning up.
- Cloke looks out of form at present.
- Joey looked lost at times, but did ok in the last quarter.

Pros:

- Gibbs will win the brownlow in 2009
- Judd will finish second
- Murphy will finish third
- Browne is a great get, had a few turnovers tonight but it's the sure ball handling that I like.

Pros: Gibbs & Judd

Con: Why that little cauliflower Milne who can't get a kick against a good side always has 2 birtdays per year when he plays us.

R2 4 goals & 5 goals tonight

CONS
Stevens deliberate OOB and Stevens Holding the ball.
Russell coughing it up twice when there were better options.
Fev. Content to friggin whinge instead of working working working at it like he frigginwell should. He is a star, he can win the game and he get's payed more than I will ever dream of...I love the guy but frig!
They all peeved me off tonight.

PROS

I knew we would lose (but was scared to post it because of the treatment Melvey recieved for tipping the Saints)..It's only a Pro because it softens the blow to my mood.
We WILL be a force in 2 or 3 years.
GIBBS...sensational.

Some of the passing => turnovers (won't name players)
The 'free kick' that stopped the momentum when we were 7 points down in the last quarter

what free kick - can't recall and don't want to watch the replay???

Pros:
Gibbs - Wow, finally unleashed in the midfield and looks all class.
Jamo - Replaced Waite on Riewoldt and did some good things
Grigg - Looking more composed every match he plays
Thought Edwards showed a bit in some plays tonight.
Bentick tried hard all night

Cons: Some of those umpire decisions and worse yet the performing for free kicks from our players.

The forward line

might be the one where Bentick appeared to have his head ripped off but was done for holding the ball. Saints kicked a goal right after it.

Pros...Gibbs....great game
Judd another good captains game.
Saints won but are going nowhere

Cons....King controlled the ruck
usual suspects in Milne, Riewoldt etc gave us the run around.
Lacked a bigger defender for Kossie as usual...
Fev battled alone down forward and got frustrated.
Poor disposal gave them easy goals and we failed to score heavily enough when we controllled play in the first quarter.

Pros:
Gibbs - best game so far, will be elite, >> Walker and Murph
Eddie Betts - kicking goals. thats where he is most dangerous. multiple avenues to goal is more valuable than kicks up on the wing

Cons:
Put to the test (just like against St Kilda earlier, Adelaide, Brisbane) and failed miserably
Stevens - a bludger hanging out wide and as loose as agro's mamma
Backline - stuffed against a team with more than one tall forward

PROS:
*GIBBS...fantastic again
*judd had a good game.

CONS:
*Carrazzo. He must be played in the midfield! He's conceded 11 goals this year against very average players (monfries and milne). He won award for the BEST player at the club in the midfield so why doesn't ratten put him there?
*@#$%&! channel 7! The one time they show the song after the game is when we lose :x .
*Fev...his leading and efforts was just terrible.
*The streak continues, and those arseholes are probs gonna bring out a @#$%&! dvd...the streak 2
*Guys like browne, cloke, edwards, fevola, grigg, russell, and wiggins had just about zero influence on the game.
*slim final hopes have been kissed goodbye after tonight.
*being surrounded by @#$%&! sainters.
*the backline had a terrible game. most of the forwards were off and once again we were killed in the ruck..AGAIN
*I'm in a filthy mood and school is back this week...life couldn't get any worse

Umpires were terrible all night. Had a shocker. And I thought we got the better of it.

Pros:
-Gibbs: Call him Willy Wonka, he sold that much candy tonight.
-Betts: Worked hard all night and again provided the highlight with the left foot banana.
-Grigg shut Dal Santo down pretty effectively.
-Roar of the crowd when we got within 7 points.
-Kreuzer showing his courage again.

Cons:
-Didn't take advantage of our momentum in the first quarter.
-Throughout the 2nd and 3rd terms we hesitated around the footy and didn't take the first option.
-Clangers galore throughout the game.
-Umpire paying deliberate out of bounds against Stevens and Bentick having his head ripped off but was apparently holding the ball.

Pros: Gibbs ... wow!! Hmmm it 's a very short list this week.

Cons: The perception that we are somehow magically fitter than evey other side and that we can fix all our problems in the 4th quarter. This is not a criticism of Cordy, but why are we working so hard in the first 10 minutes of the 4th quarter but not in the 2nd and 3rd?

More match committee madness. I know O'hailpin didn't have a good game against Richmond, but surely you've got to take a horse for courses approach to match-ups.

Fisher. As my old basketball coach used to tell me, if you can't even look like you're capable of scoring, then you're not dangerous and may as well not even be out there. Cazz please draft me a few blokes who can kick it 50 metres.

As an aside, does anyone else think Betts would be a better match-up for Milne than anyone else we ever try on him?

Pro - Gibbs, Murph's 2nd Half, Judd. Our ladder position currently is pretty spot on to about where we are as a side.

Our best - is as good as any in the comp, but we can still play shocking football at times and did play for about 70% of the game today.

Cons - to flower many. Im very dissapointed with the result. Saints are rubbish. I dont care what anyone says, they are a poor mans sydney and the only reason they won was becuase we didnt take our chances and some very costly turn overs. But saints are just shit. Seriously, i refuse to watch any game they play if it doesnt include Carlton. they play the worst brand of footy all the time.

Rucks - we need a mature body badly, we have some young stock that is going to be okay, probably even more than okay, but until we get competitive in the ruck we are going to struggle. Some of the taps to players running by st kilda was awesome.

Pros

Judd, man of steal
Krooze, another good step forward
Jamo onto Riewolt after 3/4 time, did great
tackling
Eddie BETTS!!!!
meeting Mick Thomas from Weddings Parties Anything
Judd, just for emphasis
bentick - tried his guts out
backline did well for a while even though waite got pantsed
Cloke tried hard
a nasty lesson, but a good one to learn, we have much to improve
last qtr losing voice from comeback
Browne, good little fighter

Cons

outcoached
missed o'Hailpen
poor kicking, missing targets
killed in the ruck and centre again (but this is also a pro for Krooze will be better in the long run)
Waite had a dirty night
Gibbs - what a Dud (just kidding, thought he was BOG, absolutely brilliant)
Fisher - someone put some glue on his hands
Fev - well held, but seemed disinterested
no crumbers, Eddie aside
having to come back from so far down again
umpiring - very confusing and inconsistant on both sides
Murph quiet
Milne - i Flowering hate that little bag of puss
froze my stones off

also, just a question, how much game time did Ando get? i can only recall seeing him in the last qtr, but i'm sure he played more than that. not a good night for him with the ball going so quickly into the aints forward line, but can anyone give me some info on how he went, or why they put edwards down back if Ando was off the ground? i could be wrong here, but that left me confused
