If you listen to Ratts press conference today he also mentioned that Murph was just about signed. :-D

We are CFC circa 2008 and not CFC 2003, why would players want to leave now

Isn't obvious?

Yeh, some of you all like the nice guys, who will smile when we lose, who will say "thats ok if you pass me a shit ball". Get over yourselves. We will only improve when guys are hard on themselves and others.

eg Johnson telling Ablet off on the weekend for not following team game plan.

Interesting point you make. Question: How do you think Fev would go being told by another player he's being selfish whilst a game is going on :?:

Didn't want to start a new thread, as still uncomfirmed, but Dwayne Russell said tonight on AW that Murphy and Waite have both signed longer term contracts.

Impossible, according to Fev Sticke's overseas, due back tomorrow

Good question, but it did happen against Richmond. I watched the game & saw Stevo (as acting skipper) tear Fev a new one, when Fev complained to the umps about a decision & wasn't doing what he should have been.
Didn't get to see Fev's reaction to it, only Stevo turning around & giving Fev a serve, which I for one thought was GREAT.

Maybe someone who was at the game & saw Stevo also, could tell us what Fev's reaction was.

I think if we get pick 1 or 2 for fev I'd be happy. Thats only fair considering we gave up pick 3 and Kennedy for Judd.

Whatever we pay him from now on will be too much. We wont win a premiership in 2 years. Fev'll be 30. Too old. Get a young gun like Natanui.

He will be 29, but never the less, who wins premierships with forwards that age, I mean in the last15 years, no one! I have conveniently forgotten Sticks, Darren Jarman & Alistair Lynch.

GET RID OF HIM NOW!!!

This Fevola bashing thing has gone on forever, but then he gets cheered when he wins us games. It makes me ill. I have been complaining about this for ages.

I could just as easily say that some people are prepared to cheer Fev when he wins games, and keep silent or make excuses when he is a disgrace to the club (which he has frequently been throughout his chequered career). And that makes me ill.

The reality is sometimes Fev deserves to be cheered, and sometimes he deserves criticism.

I think he will stay with the club and the deal will get done in he end, but I'm not going to pretend that he's conducted himself like a saint throughout these contract negotiations.

And I think that people arguing that anything goes cause it's his last big contract and that's "just the way things are done", need to get some perspective. Every year about a third of the comp re-signs a contract. Of those couple of hundred players only a handful of them manage to turn it into a media saga along the way.

And before peope say it, Fev is not a beautiful and unique snow flake. Many of the players who manage to quietly agree and sign contracts with ne'er a whisper in the media are champions on their day too.

I'm guessing that Fev, Murphy and Waite all signed? Thought it would be a big sponsor on top of that as well...

Caro is the new president, effective Monday.....

The AFL will be admitting they got it wrong, and introducing a second team to WA. (A REAL team.....)

The AFL will admit they got it wrong in 2002, and later when they changed the priority pick rules.

Carlton Monopoly will now be rolled out as the only Monopoly game in the world.

Carlton and Melbourne will be Merging. We'll keep the Carlton part of our name, and let them keep the "Football Club" part of theirs.

THE Blueseum's new URL will be carltonfc.com.au/blueseum/

Not sure about the sponsorship, I'm not a brain scientist.

Fevola's loooooooooooooong list of off-field indiscretions:

1) Fire extinguisher (almost ten years ago)
2) Irish headlock (during marriage problems)
3) Pee on window (apparently caught on CCTV but no-one has actually seen footage of him peeing)

HE OWES US BIG TIME!!!
