maybe im wrong but this is my opinion but all this crap bout fev being an idiot and stupid and playing it out to the media or as caro put it playin it out like a soap opera is stupid to me. Fev hasnt really said anythin about his contract when he gets asked he says he doesnt wanna talk about it, its the media who are obsessed and fascianted and they keep bringin it up and stating somethin different everyday based on rumours and whispers. Fev hasnt done anythin wrong, we dont know whats going on in the negotiations and thats what they are negotiations, things take time and he will sign no doubt, people need to calm down and relax. I dont see anythin said bout jono brown and his still out of contract and people expected him to sign up a long time ago.

I agree with Fevolution and Mandy that the media has mostly driven this into a travelling circus show and the reason they can do this is because of the character and profile Fev generates. There are other players even at Carlton who are yet to re-sign and the negotiations appear to be as protracted as Fev’s but no-one hears a peep about them – Murphy is a prime example. Every time I have seen Fev approached about his contract talks he has replied with no comment or similar. The only incident now that leaves some sort of bad taste in the mouth is whether he did go around at a recent fight night telling anyone who’d listen that the swans are chasing him hard and offering big bucks. Now whether this is true or not is open to debate considering it is the usual faecal dribblers in Hutchy, Caro, etc.

I certainly don’t begrudge Fev trying to get as much as he can, that is his role in all this. Yes, hold the clubs dear but he needs to look after himself. There are plenty at Carlton who can look after the clubs interest. I don’t agree with some that seem to think that he needs to meekly succumb to the clubs will in these contract talks and take what’s given. Its not called a negotiation for no good reason. What I am confident in is that Fev will be at Carlton in 2009 and beyond

From what I saw and heard last week on TFS, Fev made the comment when Hutchy raised the Swans offer, 'now I know why I was asked to be on the show tonight'.

I'll say it again, the fact that the alleged deal was the 3rd item in Hutchy's stories on the night highlights that he and everyone else at Ch 9 knew, was a non story.

It wouldn't surprise me if Fev created the story at the Fenech fight to see how the vultures would jump all over it.

The fact that not many news outlets have treated the actual offer by the Swans as being anything other than hot air, would indicate that what we are hearing and seeing ATM is purely driven by the split round and lack of news stories by the media.

Bazza, however will ensure that the Fev deal is signed by the week's end IMHO.

It is all media bollocks. The fact that Caro has willingly jumped on board a fabricated express band wagon that Hutchison rolled out the sheds says more about her gumption and credibility as a journalist than it does about what Fev does or Carlton's management of his contract.
