We've just bought a house with a massive flag pole, so I was wandering if anyone knew where I could get a proper outdoor Carlton flag? It would have to be pretty big.. any help much appreciated

A couple of years back the club was asking if people had a house or business to display a Blues flag/logo etc prominently (in a prominent location) to contact them...not sure if that scheme is still on...worth contacting the club!

Ohh that's a great idea bill. It would be good promotion cos it's a 14 metre flag pole in the middle of town. Thanks a lot I'll give them a call

I hope so - surely there's at least a cheap media story in it for them..... maybe they could even just leak it it Sporting Life and let them run a pic..... :)

AFL...may also be worth a try. The banners are all over the MCG, Dome, Toyota, AFL World etc ...so someone is making them.

Come to think of it,...have a look at this story
http://www.carltonfc.com.au/News/NewsAr ... wsId=56489

someone from the club must have given them to Carrots???? ...I expect you need to speak to Marketting rather than getting put onto the Carlton shop

The good old flag pole,we had one where we lived before at the front of the house with a Australian flag. You might get hoodlums although damaging it or messing with your house who don't like Carlton when they know your out.

Also you must make sure it's pretty strong, not like the ones you take to the football games to wave, they rip to pieces outside in the Wind.

Nah I don't think so. The homes in Sale, Gippsland, so it's a pretty small town and most people know most people. And the properties got big brick walls around so they have that to contend with.

Thanks for that. I remember seeing those flags all over Lygon street earlier in the year. I just called the club "administration" and they didn't really let me explain but just put me through to the shop. Does anyone know if there is a direct number for marketing?

Make an old school one yourself with a 70s-80s style CFC monogram on it.

That's what I did in 1979. After we won the GF I ran it up the regimental flagpole at 2 Cav Regt, then stationd at Holsworthy and left it there. I was too scared to take it down in case the pole was being watched. I was lucky enough to get it furled without getting caught.

While we're on the topic of buying stuff, why can't I buy my granddaughter a footy jumper? She's grown out of the one I bought her when she was born and I need another one as my new daughter has the old one.
My son-in-law is a Lions supporter and will jump in quick if I can't get a jumper to fit a 4yo, even if it is a bit big. (The jumper, not the 4yo) :-D
HELP!
