Kouta's certainly making the most out of life after footy, and enjoying himself, in quite a contrast to Wayne Carey.

Kouta did say that he flew up to FNQ.....North of Port Douglas; to see Allison in Hospital; and spent a couple of hours with him talking about old times.....something he really didn't have to do.

Mark Doran brought up the book subject....not Kouta; and Kouta praised Pagan predominantly.....saying that Pagan was sincere in his determination to do the best job he could for the team at all times.......there was no sour grapes from Kouta in that regard.

He just thought....(as we all did).....that his gameplan was old hat.

Have you considered maybe he's simply just enjoying himself doing some dancing and hamming it up on TV? I don't see many hidden agendas in what Kouta does and has done.

I run 2 laps around PP every 2nd or 3rd night, depending on my schedule.

Kouta's always up there on a Wednesday night.

Kouta loves Carlton....been there all of his life he said; and wasn't tempted to ever leave the Club.

I'm with you on the above.... The guy was doing his job.. Thats all... And for Kouta to go visit, would mean he did a great job...
Just Remember one thing The player must still sign off in the end. Not the manager....

He said that in the last 5 years, he would have 'possibly' left, 2003-07, but there were NO offers.......

He would have loved to had gone to a finals side.

But he was happy he played for the club his whole career.

The interview itself was outstanding.

The fact he told the truth and the fact he thought he was a GUN at the top of his game, that he would drag us into a grannie himself in 2001 was a man who believed in his own abilities... Possibly the difference between the champs like Hird, Bucks, and Kouta, compared to just the very good players.

The difference, guys....

Any one who says Kouta held the club, or Alison, to ransom is a narrow minded fool.

Managers are employed to do what? Get the best for there client??

If the market was there, (and it was from Sydney) good luck on him for cashing in. At the time, we were ecstatic, the fact he signed for that period.

Not his fault he got injured. Not his fault he was never the same. Not his fault the contract was back ended.


Kouta is a man of integrity. A man that I thought played on 2 years to long too.....

But as a CARLTON champ, a premiership player, an icon of our footy club, I wish him nothing but all the best for the future. CASH in big fella!

I think Gladiators is shite too!
