Diesel also spent some quality time with TC's Paul Bower trying to pass on some handball magic.

At one stage early on Ratt's, Braddle's and Diesel played handball/kick/mark together. They'ze still got it. :-D

Mature age rookies perhaps? :-D

god no, not Bentick. He is the slowest player in the AFL and will be exposed on a big MCG.

Is that your only argument against Bentick?

Lacks leg speed, can't kick, floats his kicks, no penetration in his kick, poor skills overall and his game last week left a lot to be desired = Bentick no good no matter what heraldsun stats say

We need to move on.... bring in Armfield, get games in to these young guys. Give him a taste of AFL footy and lets see what he is made of.

if bentick does eventually get a game, i hope we give him some more time on the ground than what we did last week. his job should just be to do what hadley does week in week out. lay heaps of tackles, heaps of one-percenters, extract clearances and use your big body to shepherd and block for teammates.

average disposal and decision making. add to that he is very very slow. possibly one of the slowest players of all time.
Bentick is reminder of how bad we were 2002-2007. he has no place in the team moving forward.

I think Jimmy Plunkett was slower. That said Diesel was right up there in the slow stakes.

Hadley would be a big miss as he adds so much poise across half back. Along with Jamison's emergence as a terrific defender, Hadley's has been a big bonus (besides a few foot-skill errors) following on from the massive coup of obtaining Judd and getting the number one pick.

I'm not sure about Setanta today against Adelaide as he is a little bit loose to match up against well organised teams. Besides we need him to fly the flag and defend Judd when we cross the Nullabor and the West Coast automatons have ago at our fearless leader. I would also be tempted to name Aisake on the bench just to let them know that we mean business should they try and snipe Judd, Fev and our other quality acts.

Did anyone else who was at the Gee last weekend notice the happy almost carnival atmosphere amongst the Blues supporters after half time? It certainly grabbed me and besides the obvious chance of three straight wins, there is a real buzz around this game.

This is what I initially thought, but what may happen is Gibbs takes Carazzo's role at half-back (God help Ratten is he gets dragged to the last line...a few people missed it against Essendon*) and Carrots will push into the midfield.

I just do not 'get' the bagging of Bentick.

He is one tough SOB. Give him a break. In a good side, his wares may be invaluable. Coming off the bench, he is a handy addition.

Bentick is just not up to it ... too many chances .. too many failures.

Get rid of him.

Bugger, Hadley is more important to our developing midfield than most people realise.

I think Hadley out is a huge loss, a lot of his work goes un-noticed.......

Diesel dieeesssel diiiiieeeeeeesseeellllll!!!!!

So Diesel gave Browne he's debut jumper??

Does that mean we got rid of Russell??

No Hadley. OK Jordy, get out there today and do HIS role. Enough of this development stuff , time for the blowtorch. Blocks, linking, hard running, sure disposal - I want to see what you've got.

Maybe the challenge he needs. Reward the MC for its patience.

Hadley has been exceptional. His fitness is really starting to pick up too.

He may play, it maybe just part of his rehab.

Remember, Stevo was out of round one too! 8)

He needs belief. He needs a breakout game.

He has size and speed, but now must give us some real spunk.
