If I have to read posts from all those team- and Ratten bashers this week about how good we were and we are going to make the finals - I will spew!

It will still be a season with bad performances and more losses then wins and then some really good games. It takes time and the club knows what it is doing and the future has been there to see if you had looked at the first three games without the hysteria....

So all you over-emotional doom sayers and chicken littles.... keep it down and dont start all this carp again next time we loose....please....

It's a tough call, mikkey.

The thing is - halfway through that game, I thought we were invincible. It was like we'd never lost a game of footy before - such was our skill and dominance.

And yet, I could so easily have thought the world was crumbling down around me had the ball bounced differently.

While I agree with the sentiment of your comments, one must be mindful of the fact that footy is war. It's 1st world western civilization's only real knowledge and concept of warfare. It's only natural that you get zealots who bemoan the inability of our warrers to kick arse.

I'm happy to kick back and look at those sad wee squealers with the piteous eyes they deserve. I'm happy to sup my wine and toast the spoils of this battle - mindful that the war is a far bigger thing than just 2 1/2 hours of conflict.

I'm also mindful of the fact that I started this post with one intention - discovered a neat analogy and ran with it - and have now screwed the purpose and intent of this message completely up. BUT I DON'T CARE!

Because we not only won the battle today - we clearly ... CLEARLY ... showed we will win this war

i just wanna see some progress, passion and fight... they delivered today. Now we got to keep it going and not look back, there will be some bumps along the way but hopefully this gives them the confidence and the belief and never again wanna be in the situation we have been.

Firstly, a website such as this is no different to people ringing up talk back radio. People want to talk and their opinion is more important than anyone elses.

Secondly, the fickle nature of supporters will never cease. It's easy to be in the middle -- happy when we win, furious when we lose.

Finally, what goes around comes around.

PS: Go Blues.

Trouble is, unless we are winning three premierships in a row (which is possible, though unlikely), you'll still be looking for your scapegoats.

get rid of Fev......

a man who has kicked 15 goals in the past 2 games is not worth keeping....

yeah fev can be a bit of a hot head but lets face reality when hes on the ball he is dangerous and will do his job...

there is not many in his calibre that will kick a bag of goals like 8 in a losing side and then follow up a week later with a bag of 7...

sorry but i think if we lose fev we will be going backwards unless you can find a better replacement...

fev would have been one of the best on ground today...

Are you flower kidding me!?

Fev 15 goals last 2 weeks! Yes i know Fev stuff s up from time to time, but the guy bleeds navy blue and loves Carlton! He's just a bit immature at times...

Sure he gets carried away at times, but at least he gives you value for money and shows a real passion for the jumper!

Oh, and he's one of the elite forwards of the competition!

Yeh, let's get rid of him!..

Hey we played disciplined footy today... attacked when we had to and kept the ball when we had to....

great performance....

but lets not pat ourselves on the back too much.. theres a hell of alot of work to do yet.....

we have to build on that..... if we dont it wouldnt have made any difference (that win)

actually I was being self-mocking but, you know, I guess some here may be a little bit happy and what to do with that habitual anger after 14 losses.

Mate, didn't need to type the last half of your post.

Let us Blue baggers enjoy the win now... and get the reality check tomorrow. I don't care if there's a truckload of work to be done - we knocked off Collingwood and I like every other Blues supporter am going to enjoy it! :-D

Ah ok, well i'll excuse myself for that one then!

I just think talented players like Juddy and Fev are so important to us, and yes, i'm still fired up from the game earlier, my bad mate!

Hey, what a great win though, eh! :-D

Yes, for want of a better word.

I love generic nature of the original ciriticism in the thread. Enough people might think it is about them to cause a decent free for all. Then again it could all just fizzle out to a 'brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt!'.
