Before Judd

At family days and many other functions Fev was the one & only player to give of his time to an enormous extent signing autographs long after other players had left

Fev freely allowed photos of him with kids and other supporters

On game day #25 was the most worn number by supporters

Fev provided us the supporters with rare highlights over the past 5 years.

Whilst Lance was not stepping up, Kouta was ageing and Stevens was the TC whipping boy of the day, Fev provided what no other Carlton player of that era had provided and that is Hope.

Fev is a rare talent in this era of football.

His is flawed in many aspects BUT on the field when his mind is switched on he is a gun. And given how crap the delivery has been to him of recent times who can blame him for being a little frustrated.

I am not attempting to make excuses for him - he can argue his own case. All that I am saying is that now that Fev has gone off the rails again it is hypocritical to kick him whilst he is down whilst supporting him when he is flying.

Either take him or leave him but please have the balls to acknowledge which camp you sit in. If you want him out and are waiting for his next stuff up like a child waits for Santa then don't cheer his next goal and don't celebrate his next brilliant mark because if you do then you are a total hypocrite.

He has let a lot of supporters down with his recent actions but slagging off at him to the extent that has occured in this thread says more about certain supporters and the fantasy world they live in than it does about Fev.

Despite the disappointments of his brain fades and the embarrasment of some of his antics I'll take Fev in my team any day.

Hey OR - suggest you read this.

And Fevolution, you always try to make it sound as if it's us against Fev, and that we must all make excuses for him and blindly agree with everything he does. This isn't the case. The reason people get shitty with him is because they put their faith in him, support him and stand up for him, and when he does shit like this he lets them down. That's why people get pissed off.

There's only one way I'll change my opinion of him, and he's fast running out of time.

Duke,

I agree he's a goose and that kids need to know the difference between good footy player and dill off the field.

But you can;t seriously be comparing Didak's action to Fev's latest?

Therefore i can't see how you can compare those supporting Fev with anyone who supported Didak?

Didn't the Capuano clause, come into being because once a player has resigned with the club, he cannot be traded in the first year of his contract?

Hypothetically, if the club resigns him tomorrow for season 2009 to 2011, and he transgresses, on the day priort o trade week, they cannot trade him at the end of this year.

I think that's basically right - he can't be traded within 12 months of signing a contract.

So he'll be shopped at the end of the year, no doubt. Theoretically he could leave us for nothing - if he was happy to go to the club which finishes 16th this year. However if he didn't want to go there, then he would need a trade.
The fact conditions were put on his tenure (alcohol) means they probably keep him for life if he conforms. You basically said you would sack him unless he has an alcohol-fuelled incident. If not, the contract's terminated and it's the PSD. Once the contract terminated he's not on the list to be traded.

In our position we cannot be getting rid of 80 goal FF's in a hurry. We lack KP's as it is and they're very hard to replace. If we had a gun CHF then it may be easier but we don't. Anyway who suggests trading him just hasn't looked into it deep enough.

The line in the sand is here....a Blue for life (unless he decides not to ) or the PSD.

Thanks Punter

But I wasn't directing my comments to Donstuie.

Trawling through this thread highlights many people who do in fact want him gone and many who are wanting him to fail - it is these people to whom I was directing my comments.

Donstuie's comments are fair and reasonable and I respect them.

I was thinking this would be the case aswell jim...but then again, North & Carey.
Didn't they sack him but still trade him for pick 2?

You don't have to draw an exact parallel to compare the two. Didak is a feral coward but that's another story. What Fev does/did drags down the name of the organization that we love.

How would Carrazzo, Murphy, Gibbs, Simpson feel having cameras stuffed in their faces and asked questions about Fev because Fev';s [REDACTED] up and gone to ground. I'm tipping they've had a gutful, especially on the eve of the clubs so-called re-birth.

@#$%&! him - if he doesn't have the respect for his team mates and partners to keep himself clean for the period most important to them, then @#$%&! him.

The reason I thought it was worth quoting is that as Donstuie said - for me it isn't an either/or porposition.

I seriously doubt there is one person on this board whose first option wouldn't be Fev with his head screwed on properly, playing great team football and driving the team towards the ultimate success.

Maybe SB has gotten tired of some who defend Fev by saying how unfortunate he is to be playing in such a dud team, with dud delivery and this and that.

Then we give him Judd, Murphy, Gibbs, Hadley and Kruezer and guess what? He's still a flower

Perhaps.

I'm not sure he waited until then though. And I'm not sure that Fev is a

I havent read the whole thread, and I would say that Fev being off the grog is a good thing for his football at the very least, but if the reason that this is an issue is that he pee'd in public, could I do a straw pole of the males on this site and ask those people who have never pee'd in public to make themselves known, as I would have thought that we all would have done that, at least once, before. Am i right or wrong on this?

And if that is the case, although probably not a good look for sponsors etc, but is it really that serious?

Anyways, as i said above, i think fev off the drink is a good thing for his own performance as a footballer, and go blues!!!

The excuses were just that - excuses.

Now the lights are green and everything's fallen into place, we discover he's still the same old Fev and people keep inventing even more excuses for him.

There, I've said my bit, lock this thing before it gets outa hand  .

No excuses from me Duke, I just don't understand the magnitude of the reaction. He deserves punishment but I believe a fair bit of what has been written on here is over the top.

I'm still basking in the warm glow of Fev beating the entire Bombers backline last year. He's still got some freebies up his sleeve after that effort.

He's not the first dumb footballer and won't be the last.

Perhaps you should do a straw poll of the number of people that have peed on a shop front as a business was trading and in full view of customers and staff...
