FFS seriously we are all pole-vaulting mouse turds here. If this incident has highlighted to anybody that Fev is a drunken DH or has come as any great shock then I'd like to welcome you back the free world from your recent internment in Nth Korea!!!

Here's a little pearl of wisdom from old uncle 2nd, if you are planning on having Fev as a role model and werent deterred by the: fire extinguisher, international rules, Lara Bingle, undone bootlaces, 60 in a 40 zone, yelling at team-mates, running through opposition huddles, footy show or recent urination incidents then you might as well keep him as a role model because you're probably cut from the same cloth.

Folks, lets just accept Fev because this is what he is like. He aint going to change no matter if he is suspended or not. He'll toe the line for 5-6 weeks, tell all and sundry that he has rediscovered the important things in life and then bam he'll be back on the front page again. Nature of the beast. The club should have a minder following him around because as far as I can tell Fev cant keep control of Fev so how on earth is the leadership group going to do it.

In the meantime lets not let all of the so-called footy experts who oscillate between telling wild stories about their exploits in the beer sodden 80's and pontificating the moral high ground of today where players should supposedly spend their private life in gymns and monasteries tell us what to do.

Yeah its untidy, yeah he shouldnt have done it, yes he is an idiot and a DH, yes he needs to be punished to remind him of this, but lets not leave our most dangerous forward out of the team just to appease the general football community.

Fev's been suspended before and it worked for a while but we are back here now. S. Johnstone at Geelong is the great example often used but his soujourn in the magoos didnt stop him managing to drive at triple the speed limit in January this year. Let Fev play as this is the only path of redemption for the man. Leaving him out to appease the football mafia in the press makes no sense at all. Has anybody checked to see if it was Terry Wallace buying him beers????

Fact is Brown plays in a one team state where I would lay a shit load of money that there is plenty that happens but never reported in the media up there.

The only reason Aker was in the media so much is he is a motor mouth and walking human headline.

Fev is one of the few shining lights we have had in the past few years.

If people really though about it they would realise how much Fev has really grown up espcesially considering all the obstcles and hardships he suffered growing up.

I mean he grew up in the Cheersquad at Sk Kilda - Its only to be expected that he has these momentry laspses of reason.

Interesting to note his mrs Alex was with him at that time, as evidenced in the footage - by any stretch of imagination, I'm not suggesting she is at fault here, but surely she should be influencing him in a positive way and keeping him entertained indoors, if you know what I mean

I like Fev, but my patience has just about run out as has many other Carlton people.

This is a pretty good post, why suspend him? As you point out, it is a characterlogical issue and punitive action doesn't help....if we the club and Brendan are serious about altering his behaviour then a suspension to appease the football community is a joke....to change such characterlogical problems the club psychologist would need to get him some psychotherapy  :garthp: Probably still wouldn't help

He probably meets most of the diagnostic criteria for anti-social personality disorder, hence it is a clinical issue. Won't be fixed by a few weeks on the sidelines.

This point was made on SEN this morning and I was about to bring it up.

There's no footage of him pissing on windows on the cctv and I believe Fev has admitted to there being an incident, but denies pissing on the windows.

He's still silly for being out at 4am and for getting into a pushing match with the guy from Candy Bar.

I don't think suspending him or removing him from the leadership help anything. As GWS said, either of these moves will just make him sook and we'll get nothing from him this season.

The club, players, members and sponsors miss out if he doesn't play.

The club and the players look silly if you remove him from the leadership group. As far as we know he's performing the rest of the duties as part of the leadership group well.

I have seen footage, but not him taking a piss. He is arguing with someone at the door and he is separated from this person by friends who drag him away. It doesn't look too good, but nothing too serious.

Footy has changed from the old era. Fev is happy to take the big fat pay cheque that now exists, but with that comes responsibility and extra scrutiny. He needs to learn to grow up.

I did like an earlier suggestion that he must stay off the grog for the rest of year, as it is the common denimiator in all his stuff ups.

So there's no actual footage of him pissing?

Case closed. Fev plays on Thursday night. :-D

I couldn't give 2 sh1ts what he does so long as he sticks the red thing between the two big white things at least 4 times every weekend.

You were doing really well until you suggested Fev has grown up. :-D

No doubt the level of scrutiny is less in Brisbane than Melbourne, quite right.

I'll stand by my guns on Brown being a better leader and team mate though - I was probably harsh and quick off the mark about him being a better bloke so I take that back with apologies.

This would be the first time Ratten facing a "Fevola Incident", so it would be interesting to see how he handles it.

Normally Pagan would just take Fevola to coffee and have a chat. Let's see what Ratten does.

I never liked the idea of suspension, we might lose the game without Fev. So let's just fined him.

Fev's not the first person to pee in public and he won't be the last.

Storm in a teacup & too many supposed Carlton supporters have been dragged into it by the influence of the media.

I wish Fev hadn't done it, it is not a good look this close to the season but really who gives a toss. We didn't need the media attention but surely we are able to dance to our own tune not one set by Caroline Wilson etc.

Our young players will not be influenced one iota by Fev's Friday night antics. If we have recruited such soft minded guys as to think that this will affect them then we are in more trouble than I thought.

Our players are elite athletes - they have the mindset and stength to have achieved selection in the AFL. Surely a clown peeing in public isn't going to make them turn to water and becom social misfits? We now have enough strong personality's around the club to counteract any of Fev's indiscretions.

So many Carlton champions from years gone by must be quite literally pissing themselves about how much attention this issue is receiving!

To put a bit of perspective on his punishment...

Fraser Gehrig was given a $5,000 fine and counseling for urinating on a women at a bar.

Peeing on someones shopfront in full view of staff/customers whislt they are trading and then initiating a push and shove when confronted is a lot more serious than just peeing in public in a discrete location/alley (which is what most people would do).

You think its ok? - How about you go out and demonstrate how normal it is - I'm fairly certain that the reaction you get from the general public will quickly indicate that such behaviour isnt normal and quite unacceptable

Fev just continues to let down the Club, his teammates, the coaching staff, Members etc.

If only he could walk the walk.

Imagine if he was our captain?

Grow up Fev.

I really don't care too much about the peeing part, but being out till 4am when he is supposed to play in 5 days is poor judgement.

As a paid up member I am not happy that we have players on our list who don't appear to get their body right and prepare the best they can for a game.

I think he should play on Thursday but he is not the kind of person I want leading our kids off the field.

RELEASE HIM FROM THE LEADERSHIP GROUP.
