My first game was meant to be a game vs the Cats@ PP mid 1988 but I got the Chicken Pox late that week and couldnt go...I nearly cried watching my dad, my bro and my cousins go off to the game without me as I was a bigger Blues fan then all of them put together..
Anyway, the first game I attended was Round 1, 1989 vs Footscray at PP. I played in the Little League for the Blues that day and remember looking for Wayne Johnston as he was coming off the ground at half time to pat him on the back...Of course, the seniors got thrashed that day (it was the day this unknown guy called Georgiadis kicked 8 goals on debut for Footscray)..

Went to a few games early 90's against the Crows and that with my dad but couldnt really remember them... the first game I really remember is round 1, 1995. Hadnt gone to a game for years, so my dad made it a big one with a Carlton v Collingwood round 1 match at the G with almost 90,000 people. WOn by 5 goals, Kouta took a hanger over Buckley and it was one fo the best moments in my life espeically considering what became of that year, it was awesome. WE were a machine that year, a champagne football machine.

North vs StKilda. Arden Street (82?) couldnt see a thing, pie was cold, drink got knocked over. Game was boring and I didnt understand what was going on but bloody hell the kick on the ground after the game was great fun!!!!

As for Carlton Game............... Carlton vs Fitzroy....................could see the game, but pie was still cold but doughnuts were boiling and received 3rd degree burns due to boiling jam dripping onto my chin.
We won!!!!!!!!!!!

One Saturday afternoon in the seventies. I do remember stomping in the Heatly stand, (a goal must have been kicked).

First game I went to was against the filth in 1990 at Waverley. My first taste of the toothless feral pricks in action. Literally, right behind me, the most obnoxious and foul-mouthed bogan you could imagine, assaulting my virgin 10 year-old ears. The fact that we lost by 9 goals with that smartarse Daicos kicking 5 made it an experience to forget.

My first game :-D

My family lived in Echuca and never took me to Melbourne to see a game so when I finally got old enough for mum to allow me to do stuff my friends and I made our own way to the games. We went to every Vic game in 95 and got extraordinarily close to the guys..(too close, some of my friends)

All i really remember was the utter joy and excitement it was for us. I didn't really follow the technical side of the sport as well as I do now all I know is I was passionate about winning, loved Ang and hated Collingwood.

We'd always stand around outside and wait for the guys to come out of the rooms and get our photos autographed. The best times of our lives.......for our heros to know us by name, for our team to be flower unstoppable....breaks my heart seeing what we have become.

We often reminisce about 'the good old days' where Christou and Manton would play games with us and chuck things at us from the rooms at PP......and how we all got to hold Rattens Premiership Medal ....and when Parkin would kick us out of the rooms....and Brown would call us all 'Wog lovers'. :)

Makes me a bit sad really....

Oh well!!

I still have hope and I still love my club but nothing will beat 1995....nothing.
