What's the recovery time for that sort of thing?

Bet it was one of those toothless Filth supporters ... dirty with Jarrad for being on the same side as C5J

He'll learn from that.....

I hope he has a speedy recovery, and remains fearless on the arena.

Apparently it was by 4 Collingwood supporters. He took a glass bottle to the face which caused the fracture and lacerations.

I don't know him personaly so i won't comment any further.

Tell me about it, last night at St Kilda beach, a guy wished us happy new year, I wished him back, then he replies "What?!", you know in the provocative way so I could respond to him in a provocative way also just to start a brawl, though I have sense not to do so, I again said happy new year and hes like "Oh ok".

Some lowlife scum out there...

I had a fractured eye socket and a shattered cheekbone from a cricket injury and had some metal plates inserted in my cheek. I was running about 2 weeks later.
Its horrible news though, dont like to hear of anyone getting bashed, especially if they may have been targeted like what tends to happen to players these days.

The HS will have a field day if the attackers were Sudanese Collingwood supporters.

really sad news...

looks like a 2-4 week injury if in-season, so should not effect his pre-season much i hope eg. http://www.thewest.com.au/aapstory.aspx ... ame=380811

False alarm!

It was Charlton's Jarrad Waite who was attacked.

Charlton star injured in bottle attack
Quote:
Charlton champion Jarrad Waite suffered minor facial injuries when he was attacked with bottles during New Year’s Eve celebrations in Lorne.

Jarrad and his girlfriend were each assaulted with bottles - four suspects are being interviewed by Victoria Police.

Also.......

Quote:
“It is a concern for everyone in the community that such assaults take place, it was a completely random attack, the fact Jarrad is an AFL player had no bearing on the incident.”

“Importantly for Jarrad and the Carlton Football Club the injuries are not expected to interfere with Jarrad’s preparations for the 2008 AFL season.”
