it was me who voted for fev :-D

but i just hope that its only 1 captain, i hate what other teams do were they have 2, 3, 4, 5 captains, its bullshit.

Should be like this

Stevo - C
Juddy - VC
Fev - VC
Simmo - VC

For what it's worth (very little) I would like to see Stevens as captain, which a couple of young guys like Simpson and Murph (who I think will be our next captain) blooded underneath him. Let Judd do what Judd does best, play the game. And Fev.... well, I think it would be best if he just concentrated on getting his attitude right before he starts aspiring to a leadership role.

To be perfectly honest Fev should be nowhere near Captain, a great player but not captain material, just not a leader. Maybe Just a capt a leader who has proved he is a blue and commited to the navy, an old head and a VC form one of the younger guys, I dont know which of them is vocal and would be suited, but you get my drift.

I agree with the Fevs attitude part, but lets be honest, there was some tough calls by the umpires this year against. Many unpaid free kicks. So i can understand him..(tho he did take it too far at times) ANyhow, I think a leadership role could benefit him, i dont doubt for 1 second that he wouldnt be able to do it. His got the character and is well respected amongst the team. I reckon he should be given the chance.

Stevens. Didn't deserve it when he first got here from Port (the same way Judd doesn't now), but he has done the hard yards now in my book.

I voted for Kade Simpson after his exemplary performance on the field in 2007 as Captain.

I feel that with the new start through the Club that a good, young player with the ability to inspire through acts of desperation or skill (a good mix) is the best bet. Kade doesn't seem to like the press that much but there may be other ways to manage that, particularly with much of the attention going to Fev and Judd anyway.

I like the idea of a long-term captain after we've had so many Captains since 2002 for various reasons (Ratts, McKay, Kouta and Whitnall).

Stevens is 4 years older than Judd, and Judd is 4 years older than Murphy, so it makes sense to give it to Nick, then when he retires give it to Judd, and then when he retires give it to Murphy.

I don't think we HAVE TO give it to a young player and have them do a Kernahan and be captain for 10 years. That would be nice but it doesn't have to be that way. To insist on this is to be a bit narrow minded.

Wasn't insisting at all - I like the idea of it over having a succession of shorter term stints. Something has to be said for commitments to the jumper and to the Club and Simpson's second half was wonderful.

Kade Simpson.

I still haven't heard a good argument as to why Stevens deserves it.

I voted for Stevens, but I would be happy with Kade Simpson, and am open to the idea of Judd if he is elected by the playing group.

I personally see Murphy & Gibbs as our next 2 captains - perhaps Gibbs moreso.

I believe Stevens is the obvious choice for Captain he has done the hard yards and the players respect him. He busts his balls for the team when he plays and is an outstanding player.

My votes for Vice Captain are:

Co-Vice Captains
Jarrad Waite
Kade Simpson

Both young leaders who did a bit last year and could learn more with a longer apprenticeship. As for Murphy i believe he will be a future captain of Carlton but as for now he just needs to concentrate on playing footy because he was tagged heavily last year and this year with Stevo back and Judd he will get less attention.

Simpson....did the job well when we were getting smashed and led from the front putting his body on the line and working for others.
