While I have reservations about today's events re C Judd ,I believe something more important happened today.
That being, Carlton is once more seen as the club players aspire to play for.
No longer are we the down trodden doormat other clubs want us to be.
We are on the move, and out to even a few scores and kick some serious arse!!!!

Mark my words, before the season starts next year you will see the headline "The Sleeping Giant awakes" about Carlton's resurgence, as soon as one of the scribes can see that 2+2=4 that is (which BTW could be some time coming  ).

What I love is the opposition supporters scratching their heads over why Judd would choose us (except the 'money' excuse, which is bullshit because he would've been offered the same anywhere he went). He obviously knows something they don't :-D

When you think back to the way we smashed Port, inject Judd and Stevens, and that sort of victory will be every second week. 8)

This is no critisizm, but as you would have gathered, I dont percieve the world in the way that many of you do.

Todays events have truly rocketted Carlton onto a new and very exciting trajectory.

The new young coach will hasten slowly, with most of the momentum occurring in the second half of the season.

That season will start ordinarily, but will end by exceeding all expectations.

Those expectations will be realised from a low spot in the final 8, with a very young team.

IMO, a backline is only as strong as what's in front of it

Hopefully with a few other types of victories as well, otherwise 11 wins means...well you know.

Soon?!! Our greatness is impossible for others to deny - just look at our trophy cabinet ... the others have just had these last few years to get a taste of what its like .. but now we have the killer midfield others simply aspire to, we will be back

AND HOW

Exactly but people are trying to get rid of their best, who needs the other 5 stepping up soon. The club also need one small forward pocket specialist like a Jeff Farmer as Eddie Betts is good but goes missing too much.

We need Full Back + other defenders stepping up.
Forward Pocket

Hopefully CHF and Ruckmen should be fine with the guys selected.

I was kind of hoping we would use pick 20 on Addam Maric for this role (the perfect Matthew Lappin replacement) - dont think he will still be there at 35. But hey you only get one Chris Judd in your lifetime.

I reckon Farmer goes missing both on and off the field even more than Eddie...

I think that's why we're not selling the farm for him.

Or was that someone else?
