This is very good news - hopefully it gets formal approval.

Fingers' crossed! Let's hope this gets off the ground for next year. Carlton Vs Richmond on Good Friday. Will be much bigger than Anzac Day I reckon.

This will really rub Eddie McNugget's face in it. :-D

What's going to happen with the Richmond Centenary match, weren't we going to be involved in that too...

We probably went for Richmond instead of Hawthorn because we're a chance to get the four points. 8)

..can't see any problem at all with playing a game (any sport) on a religious holiday/festival.. ..the sport, and country,, is separate from any religion.. ..i think it's a good pick up..

Another Blockbuster for Mr Judd to play in.

Would be a good matchup and with both teams having a good deal of "Orthodox" members/supporters, who only celebrate with the catholic religion every 6th year or so, and other non-cathlic religions. My bet is that more often than not this game will now be a sell out! Great Stuff Blues and Tiggers.

Awesome. Good Friday will no longer be the most boring day of the year.

Great news this, and potential to knock off ANZAC as the biggest H&A game of the year. Almost makes me wish Richmond get better with us so that the games can be even bigger.

I'll be pissed off though if I see people picketing outside the ground calling people heathens and throwing Holy Water at them just because they want to go to the football on their day off.

Apparently Judd's going to nominate for the PSD and Richmond have agreed to pass him up if we nominate them as our preferred opponent for Good Friday.

1, 3, 20, Judd, Kennedy, Good Friday, $3 million profit, new facilities...

Sorry - spillage...

I wonder what they are going to call the medal for the best player on the day? Maybe they'll name the worst player and "crucify" them instead?
