The club must be very confident he is over the neck injury.

We really missed him this year; but our kids had to learn the hard way without him; and that may have been a bonus....I don't know.

What is true is that we may have won more games and still have Denis as Coach if Nick had been there.......hmmm...as it turns out; it's worked out well.

Great to have him on-board, and good on the club for having faith in Stevo and his recovery. I'll admit that 3 years is a bit unexpected, but its a positive step for our future nonetheless.

Agreed - carrazzo and simpson have taken the next step, murphy getting hammered and gaining experience... it may have been a blessing in disguise looking towards the future.

Stevens will be a little bit of icing on our 2008 cake :-D 8)

I'm sure Stevo is glad the contract is finalised....it was starting to become a pain in the neck for him.

Good news for the club.

Looking forward to seeing 24 out on the Park playing as well if not better than he was before he was forced out......a class act.

The most positive thing is it indicates that his neck must be ok! :-D

Don't get me wrong - I like Stevo...BUT - I would hope that there is a clause for the club that pertains to the neck injury and that fine print has been gone over with a fine tooth comb.

As a close follower of the NHL - I noted a couple of weeks ago that one of my favourite players throughout the 90's; veteran Mike Ricci has just been forced into retirement because his neck injury (same as Stevens) did not get the strength back and the rehab and risk - when weighed up against a healthy future - was a sad, but no brainer of a decision.

Let's hope the neck's ok...but why 3 years?...should have been 2. Let's hope Icke and/or Swann can explain over the weekend.
