Dont hold your breath guys... every time we have a loss, the forum is rife with rumours and hopes of Pagan being given the chop and nothing has ever happened...

Whats the chance of inviting Denis to come along and having a read of some of the posts here on TC?????.

Maybe then, he might realise what the local supporters think of him and be the push that is needed for him to do a Neale Daniher and leave graciously!!!!!!

Pagan just had his meeting with Fev, I swear it was the shortest meeting ever based on when Fev arrived and left. Is it one big illusion? was Fev was told last week Pagan is gone by Swann and it was inconvenient timing that Hutchy caught them out? Now we wait for a media conference to be announced?

Gee, I'm feeling a bit out of it here.

Its well known that I've been critical of Pagan since day one but I've been really happy with the last week or so.
Plenty of kids came into the side this week, we seemed willing to throw the ball around and be creative and most importantly, we made a stand with a couple of senior players which was well overdue! (Fev, Red and Ackland)

Who gives a rats bum about the result?
I want development. Gametime and exposure for the kids.
Give me a competitive effort with kids every day over close wins with has beens in the side.

I suspect its Icke and Swanns influence but the recent decisions are well made in my opinion.
Denis' days are numbered obviously but at least he's doing the right thing and going out playing kids.
I'm happy for that approach to continue whilst we look for a successor.

Most importantly, be smart in our approach for a replacement.
Forget the "get Voss" crap.
Put a comprehensive and exhaustive process in place and get the best candidate.
If that happens to be Voss, fair enough but lets not be starstruck in our approach.

QFT

Read that post, it's good. Mainly. Of course, I do care about the result. Other than that, good post.

Why?

You cant have your cake and eat it too.

Do you want a team developed for sustained future success or do you want it compromised for success today?

Perhaps if Teague, Bannister and Saddington had of played today instead of Grigg, Bower and Kennedy, we may have won the game.
So what?
I'd much rather an extra game in those kids over an extra win in 07.

When we have success in 2, 3 or 4 years. It will be because our kids have developed and become good players.
Whether we won 5 games or 6 in 2007 will be irrelevant.

Agree totally. The point at THIS STAGE of the season is no longer about wins and percentage. It is about developing the kids for 2008. 2007 is gone and no point focusing on wins and making it the point for appraisal. Develop the kids and give them game time! Prepare them for 2008!

Who knows. Fev is playing this week that is all we know, the rest is what I call conspiracy theory.

I will be very suprised if Pagan is sacked this week.

Not that I am not hoping that it happens, but I have lost faith in the whole SHEBANG ATM.

If you were going to Sack him you do it at round 6 or 7 when something constructive could come out of the season . Sacking him now would rob us of two first round draft picks.

He is doing what he is being told to do - just let him finish the year off and watch the kids and don't worry about the result

We have 8 games left

3 are interstate - we have won one of our last 22 on the road
4 are against sides competeing for the last spots in the 8
and 1 is against the team that just beat us with 8 players out

Cant see us winning any regardless of who was coaching us but we dont want to risk a spirited performance under a temporary coach
