Newsflash...only one gun in our team..that is Fev. The best of the rest are average footballers at this level!!!
What a flower idiotic thing to say.
Even this wanker is not a gun.
Didn't kick the goals again when we needed them - twice and they were flower easy for such a "gun".
This cretin - as good as he is - is by no means a superstar and not even close to being a gun.
His crucial misses only served to relieve the pressure we had worked hard to maintain up to those particular points in time and on both occasions, North rebounded for easy goals.
He kicks those easy goals like he is supposed to be so good at doing, and different story.
NEWSFLASH. He does this every flower week!!
On occasion he makes up for it (Essendon*, Adelaide, North a few years ago) but FFS I would rather he kick these goals when we need them than arsehole snaps for goal from the pocket when the game is already over.
UNRELIABLE wanker - at best.
Frustrating flower - without a doubt.
Yep, and he was unreliable against Essendon* where he virtually won the game for us with 8 in a half! A Gun!!
And despite being on one leg booted 5 last night.
And is at the top of the gioalkicking list with 30.
I am critical of all players when they deserve to be criticised.
Are you telling me that you are happy that Fevola has missed two absolute sitter's that he should have kicked? Are you happy that North whisked these two resultant kickins back down the ground for easy goals.
Are you happy that our full-forward is unreliable in his kicking and his on-ground behaviour so much so that when we need to put scoreline pressure on the opposition HE DOESNT COME THROUGH AS OFTEN AS HE SHOULD AT THE IMPORTANT TIMES WHEN HE SHOULD.
So we lose by 17 points. Fevola misses two sitters then North rebound for goals quickly. Two classic 12 point turnarounds. There is a loss right there. Do I blame him for the loss.. No. but his shoddy kicking at important times COULD have made the difference if he had kicked easy goals when he should have.
Are you the sort who worships the ground he walks on and doesn't see where he is at fault?
Are you happy that this [REDACTED] gets paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to kick goals but on occasion when they are kickable, he goes missing?
I think you are so enamoured by Fevola that you can't see the forest for the trees mate. Stop praising blokes for what they do wrong and look at the reasons why we lose games. HE is a problem when he doesn't kick those easy goals that he needs to. If you don't understand the concept of "SCOREBOARD PRESSURE" then really...
Do I applaud Lance Whitnall? I take Whitnall to task when he deserves it just like I take anyone else on our list to task who is not up to scratch and who doesn't pull their @#$%&! weight when they deserve it.
Fevola kicks goals - yeah great. We need them and good on him. Fevola (apart from a few games as already mentioned) misses important goals at important times when we need them and when they are easily within kicking range for him. 30-40m out and within a 60 degree arc from goal. There is NO @#$%&! reason why he shouldn't kick these goals and it is @#$%&! killing us. Letting the opposition off the hook like this is criminal. EVen this year, he did it in each game. EVERY DAMN GAME. Until he kicks those goals that are going to put scoreboard pressure on EVERY TIME, he is just another full-forward as far as I am concerned. As for the Essendon* game that you mentioned.. go back and look at the two easy shots he missed in the first quarter. IF he had kicked those, there would have been no need to stage that remarkable comeback. Fact is, he stuffed up two sitters (again) and Essendon* rebounded (again) for two easy goals (again).
Good full-forwards kick those goals mate. Or havent you heard of blokes like Lockett, Dunstall, Ablett, etc etc etc.
If you have a "diety worship complex" over Brendan Fevola, then God help you. It's about time some Carlton supporters open their eyes.
