I've thought about this and I don't think Wilson isn't a true investigative journalist more so than a propagandist. If she was born into a womans body she probably would have been editor of New Idea ten years ago, however what she writes adds another side to AFL, the general interest and flowerly sort of stuff like Cousins, hands in the back, sorta subjects that are removed from a straight break-down of the game. In a sphere where there is as much AFL coverage as there is then I believe someone will always be writing what she writes because there has developed an insatiable appetite for it. Eg. When Fevola messed up in Ireland her sort of stories appropriated alot of the interest.
In a grand sense, it's probably good for football despite being bad for individuals and supporters and whoever at different times.
