Don't forget 2 have to come out of the NAB Cup side, so still leaves 1 to come out before anyone replaces him.

Bower to the HBF, Walker to the midfield.

Give Walks free reign in the middle for a month (I know he's been superb on the HBF and why change a winning combination but I'd still like to see it!), do it Denis 8)

Latest Carlton news is that he'll be out for 6-8 weeks.

Hopefully this will open the door for Bower or possibly Edwards/Grigg if they perform for the Bullants.

Should give Griggs an opportunity or maybe Bentnick more time in the midfield

exactly what i was thinking. obviously it's bad for kouta and i'm sad to see he's injured but this could be a better thing for our team going forward. walker spending more time in the midfield (and not tagging all the time) will imo help him become an elite player in the future.

and keeps Kouta fresh for the middle part of the season.

must say though it'll make out team on the park very young indeed.

Sad for Kouta, but probably a blessing for the younger guys

Now all we need is Lance to go down and we can really have a rebuilding year 8)

With all the rubbishing this site gives "The Rumour File" at 7am on 3AW every morning......the "Kouta out for 6-8 weeks with a finger injury"was reported at 7.07am this morning.

Walker has looked sensational in the back recently. IMO I would keep him there until we start losing a few. As for Kouta's replacement, Bower or Blackwell seems to be the way to go.

Not the HS its AAP - same mistake in the article on The Age's web site. The HS took the story from AAP. None of our 2 papers did see the mistake...

What the @#$%&! has he actually done to it to be that severe?

8-10 for a finger injury? Put it under a lawnmower or something?

Sticks did the same thing tackling i think it was leoncelli in an ansett cup match.

His little finger got caught on the jumper. It required a button to be stiched onto his finger nail for a certain amount of time so that the ligament could take.

Kouta has hurt his right ring finger.

You know you're a die hard Carlton supporter when, despite all the good news around the club of late, the sports news on the telly leads with "Bad news down at Carlton" and you're first reaction is, oh shit, what's happened now ... who has done what to bring shame to the club...

..oh, it's just Kouta's finger. The news is not that for a die hard who has lived through the last 5 years. :P
