Fair enough, it is his brother.

Bit shattered about Waite missing though. I had no idea he'd done the hammy. Opportunity for Setanta maybe ?

There are 22 weekends in the year where there is no competitive footy. You would think the brother of an AFL footballer could find a better Saturday to get married

If that is brother Danny he probably has no love for Carlton anyway considering he played for Norf. I think Pagan cut him too, maybe it's payback.

Perhaps he didn't think Carlton would make it that far. He wouldn't be the only one to underrate us.

I wonder if Pagan will put the squeeze on Stevens?

Also depends, what time is the wedding, etc? If you chartered a private jet from the blue mountains to melbourne, would he be back in time?

There might be ways he can do both depending on times, etc.

I can't understand anyone getting married during footy season, for the fact you're alwyas going to ahve someone put a game ahead of the wedding, but for a relative of an AFL footballer to do it? Eh, anyway, like we all say its only the Wizard Cup. We gotta make it first

Maybe because its not really the footy season proper yet ... and how many men actually choose their wedding date ... the bride just tells him to turn up at a certain place and time don't they? (joking). Let worry about when and if Carlton win tomorrow night ... I don't think Pagan will stop him from attending his brother's wedding in any event.

It's around Easter, a great time for weddings. You get extra holidays which means friends and rellies can come from far and wide due to the extra time and take minimal annual leave from work.

I should know - i did it last year ;)

Besides, it would have been arranged 12+ months ago. Who would have thunk Carlton was going to make it this far - even in the pre-season cup?!

Was mentioned in the paper that Dennis may not be as understanding as his counterpart Laidley.

Let him go to the wedding....Bentick, Carrazzo or Simpson can take his place and take up the challenge....its not like its the regular season GF.
Good for some of the yonger players to get the responsibility and show their wares in a pressure game.

it is only the Wizzer Cup and if he doesnt play agree with Elwood gives an opportunity for someone else
better for our long term future if we learn to win without kouta stevens or camporeale or occasions

Nobody is saying that its the end of the earth Frank but its stupid planning.
A wizard Cup win will be a financial and morale boost to Carlton atm. If we made the final and were playing West Coast with Judd and Embley returning and our top 2 midfielders out, it would have to be an lamighty performance from the likes of bentick and simpson

Why are people overreacting?

It's his brother's wedding, not like his half-sister's cousin on her mum's step-brother's nephew's sister's side...

Who cares about Stevens? Let someone else get time in the midfield, time for someone to step up. We need someone to step up, no better time to show it. We have to learn how to win without these guys because as Collingwood are finding out, it's all about depth.

HEY! Stop that! They haven't even hatched! Anyway, let's stay focussed here. We're still a game away from the grand final.

So Hammer... how much do you think we'll beat the Bulldogs by? :D
