Maybe because its not really the footy season proper yet ... and how many men actually choose their wedding date ... the bride just tells him to turn up at a certain place and time don't they? It's around Easter, a great time for weddings. You get extra holidays which means friends and rellies can come from far and wide due to the extra time and take minimal annual leave from work.
