Did anyone catch what Murph said to Copeland in the last qtr. Murph had just given away a free and was standing the mark when Copeland came over and gave Murph a few words. Murph returned fire but I couldn't understand anything bar the last few words which I think were "you c@#khead".

I got the opinion Murph has a long memory :-D

That was gold. I laughed for ages.

It was something like "You'll keep, ya flower."

:-D

Murph's obviously a big reader of TC, and doesn't mind giving it a bit of COCK........!

I heard that aswell and was taken back by Murph. The boys gota bit of mongrel so i guess i shouldn't be too suprised :-D

Due to the AFL's new & not-so improved joke of a website being Anti-MAC i cannot get any stats from last nights game.

The AFL site doesn't work for Safari on a Mac but will work with the Firefox browser.

Not sure if its been mentioned anywhere else - but who else thinks that Nick Stevens should have handballed to the Captain who was alone in the goalsquare - instead of kicking that goal of his non-preferred foot in the last quarter.

Was it just me or was Lance visibly annoyed and really didnt join in the post goal celebrations after that one. :?

Firstly "Owning a Mac" snipes are a tad outdated, no longer the buggy poor performing non multitasking systems of yesteryear but full featured Unix boxes complete with nice GUI. Good service and well supported, everything just works. You deride it because you don't understand it and it shows.

Enough of the IT stuff.

The stat's on the AFL site are unbelievable. Apparently Bryce Gibbs didn't play? Yet I'm sure it was him I saw on my TV screen....

And apparently there were NO hitouts for the entire night on either side. Well done to the AFL for such a well run event and site. If Bentick only got 4 touches all night I can't quite believe that.

MAC's are the greatest thing in the world! The stuff i can do on my MAC would be unthinkable on a PC............................and MAC's don't have to worry about getting a Virus!

The AFL & Bigpond should wake up and realise this! Seriously i just have this feeling that the AFL is moving backwards instead of forwards! Everything dictated these day's!

I'm a big fan of American Sport Broadcasting. They are #1 in the world for me.

If i wanna watch a Baseball game on-line 20,000km's away & 5 hours after the game finished. - DONE!
If i wanna know how many rushed yards Deuce made for the Saints - EASY!
If i want better camera angles & more informative approach to commentating - YOU GOT IT!

I can do all of the above with no hassles..............................even if i do have a MAC.

But here, after a record TV rigts deal and an equally impressive internet deal, we seem to have gone backwards.

Chanel 7's coverage has been poor and they seem to think the format they had a decade ago should still work!

AFL Beta website can't be accsessed by Safari.

Most statistics are owned and if i wanna know how many Spoils a player makes i'm pretty much stuffed without a Herald-Sun like budget to pay for it.

Interstate viewers STILL have to wait until midnight to wacth a match despite the AFL wanting to grow the game!

And despite the AFL's thinking......................PAY TV's are NOT available to every home. People who live in apartment buildings (of which there are quite a few) cannot get connections!

I dunno........................Maybe i get to beat up about this because it's such a passion of mine (broadcasting that is!) but i really think we are heading backwards!

I'm moving of the topic a bit (of Stats that is) and for that i appologise but if anybody is interested have a watch of NRL Friday Night Football on nine. Great stuff! Really trying to push the boundaries and has changed DRAMATICALLY since i watched it religously when i was in my teens.

Then watch Channel 7's Friday night football and see which one stands out in terms of production value.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............................sorry guys! Just having a RANT!
I'm not the greatest fan of how the AFL is being run at the moment so forgive me if every now & then i go off and have a little 'Tanty'!

Best effort was the Murph tackle on Brown...

He tackled Brown and held it, which not many people can do...and got the free for it!

awesome pics, thanks! :) You had pretty good seats by the looks of things.

Also, Gibbs looks a bit like Buckley in that photo. Just doesn't have the potato nose.

It's 1 of those things Agro, if he had of missed he would have got a bake and a half and that is all people would be talking about, but he was on and he wanted it and I don't think he was ever going to miss.

can anyone confirm that as soon as Pagan left the ground on Saturday night that Mitchell ran on to congratulate the players? From where I was sitting it looked like him. I think this is a very childish situation, they should put aside their differences and work together

I am glad he kicked it and yes he was on, but I thought Whitnall's reaction to the goal (which really sealed the game) was pretty low-key, he looked visibly pissed off that Stevens didn't pass it to him. A better option would have been for him to join in the post goal celebration - give Stevo a pat on the back - and then whisper in his ear later, you should have handballed to the goalsquare "percetange option".
