1. Work around the stoppages has come on in leaps and bounds
2. Back 6 working very well. Strong, quick and supporting each other.
3. Forward pressure is extremely good allowing time for the midfield to get back in defense.
4. Waite
5. Setanta
6. Acland/Cloke have been some unsung heroes as a duo IMHO.
7. Game plan
8. Coaching staff
9. Jordan Russell = 4 big scalps.
10. Dick and his band of merry men.

Regards Cazzesman

The Centre clearances, the tap work by both of our ruckmen was fantastic, few times it hit stevens straight in front of his throat, it was great to watch!!

The main positive for me is that I don't we played that well last night - and we still won. Guys like Kennedy, Hartlett, Whitnall, Cloke, Russell (despite a great goal) were all fairly quiet and will improve for sure.

There were a number of positives coming out of the whole preseason for me. Obviously winning was good, but the way we won impressed me more. On a number of occassions we were really under the pump and came back to win solidly. What really stood out for me were names like Chambers, Johnson, Teague, Morell etc. They weren't there. We may have been 'full strength' but it was a team which was full of young and talented kids, all of them who have improved with games under their belts. We'll still cop a couple of smackings in the back end of the season as we run out of legs but the skies are looking blue up ahead!

For mine the biggest positive has been the steady improvement of JR as a run-with player. He really looks like he belongs and is part of the side now. After the rocky road he started with it's great to see him coming on and showing the talent that had him picked so early.

What are the biggest positives for other people?

The run from the backline. The addition of Setanta and Waite to the backline has given us a new dimension.

Why does Cloke always feel the need to stick his tounge out? Oh well, he played well last night so he can get away with it!

I know people are gonna dismiss this as a Pre-Season and that we were full strength & all teams we played against were underdone not to mention the fact that they all finished in the bottom 8 last year, but i say that we should be pumping it up.................

Brisbane
Essendon*
North
Hawks

All of those teams were determined to win!

Had we played Sydney or West Coast or a team like that who just doesn't care and will rest their players for the real stuff then i wouldn't have been confident with the wins.

But all the teams we beat WANTED & were determined to win!

I'm pretty happy with that.

I'm still very confident we can make the 8!

I don't think the name Murphy has been mentioned enough :-D

When he stood his ground and was crunched by the two Brisbane players it was just magnificent.

Yep that's mine too. As a bonus it relieves Thornton from having the weight of the world on his shoulders.
