Let's consider the chapter on the Smorgan/Collins Boards closed. They were, as most of us agree a complete disaster, and thankfully there is only 1 Board Member from the original 2002 group left. What a joke and a bunch of useless clowns they were.

Let's hope that we now have a group of people who are prepared to put Carlton first and egos second. If we can get this the we are back in business.

Its now time for us to get on the front foot and start to display a bit of Carlton spirit and arrogance.

So we have had a rough patch over the last 4 years. This has been caused by an ageing list at the end of 2002 (very bad recruiting over the late 90's), the stupidity of Elliot and his cronies and, the absolute vindictiveness of Demitrou, Evans and the rest AFL. Never mind we are now on the way back.

As Sticks has been quoted "we are Carlton, f**k the rest". We don't need a dyed in the wool Essendon* supporter like Rohan Connolly writing crap articles in the AGE about us, nor do we need nuff nuffs like Joffa putting a Carlton jumper on and saying the AFL needs us. F**k them! We don't bow to anyone!!!

What it needs is all Carlton supporters to get behind this wonderful club and demand the success we had in the past. We are not perrenial losers like some of the other Clubs (I don't have to name them) and we need to stop thinking like them. Let's everyone sign up as members and get to as many games as we can. We'll show the knockers what Carlton fans will do to get their Club back where it belongs. [/b] We will survive and prosper.[b]

There is too much history and talent in our Club for us to not succeed. Lets all do our best to help our Club in what ever way we can and before we know it we will all be madly singing "we are the navy blues" to our heart's content on that last day in September.

The new board will be much better than what we have had, but wont set the world on fire.

Having said this, Id much rather have the new arrangements that have now been voted in.

The season of our glorious resurgence is not far away.

At that time, it will be the deeds of the players, our new coach and also a large serving of very well timed good fortune that turns Carlton around.

Bryce Gibbs is destined to become a Carlton great and will be a big part of our revival, especially in that year.

Football is indeed about dreams and aspirations, and in many ways, the nightmares of the past 5 years will seem to have more of a purpose when they are seen with what is to soon come.
