The first Intra Club Practice Match will be held next Monday 5th at 9.30am.

Then a full-scale intra club match will be held on Wednesday 14th Feb at 4.00pm.

For those that have read my previous post at Intraclub Match-Ups...., the club has not been able to gain permission to play Hawthorn to raise funds for bushfire victims. I don't know if it was the AFL, Players Association or others that have stopped this match from happening. This proposal was contrary to the AFL rules although, I think everybody would agree, it would be great PR for all those involved.

I am not sure if it is AFL or the players Association that would prevent the Hawthorn game, but whoever makes the rules is not consistent. Our opponent in the first NAB Cup game on 24 Feb is Essendon* who will have had the benefit of a full blown match against the Indigenous Allstars in Darwin on February 9th.

I have Thursday the 15th off.

Do you reckon if I asked nicely they could change it?

I don't think it's aimed at fundraising...if so...every club would have it on a weekend.
