Help required please.

Anyone know where I can find a clip to download of Jezza's mark from the 1970 Grand Final?

Tried both You Tube and Google Video but no go.

It's for a friend's 9-year-old son who has seen the Jezza Toyota ad but doesn't quite "get it" so I would love to show him the original to give him some perpective.

Thanks in anticipation.

They had a link for it last year on the AFL website... might have closed the link down now...

The best perspective is buying the 1970 Grand Final DVD.

Was it that a good a mark is it more just iconic because of the context it was taken in?

I'm a bit of a fan of Sampi's mark a year or two ago. The man was a good two metres in the air, I reckon

Just a kiwi trying to get a perspective on things here - I've only seen the 70 mark a couple of times on highlight packages

(Yes, I know - get a copy of the 70 GF and see for yourself!)

Once again, I have no idea where a copy of that video could be sourced from, so anyone requiring it would be completely wasting their time pm'ing me their email address, as I would have no way of getting hold of the piece of video required.

HTP - you can have Sampi, you can have Barry, even Bosustow's 8) but Jezza's mark is a timeless piece of beauty, grace and power.

Centre stage, on the greatest ground in front of the greatest crowd in AFL/VFL History - it ushered in the beginning of football in the modern era and will forever be remembered for what it was - the greatest mark of all time.

Funny George that you were trying to find footage for 9 yr old. I had a similar story when I went to work at local out of school hours care programme during holidays. A lot of young boys were walking around taking mock speccys calling out 'Jesaulenko you beauty'. Of course I felt it my duty to show them the actual mark on the 1970 video I had specially delivered just to show them. They thought it was awesome. :-D

Fox footy has the AD with an interactive feature which allows you to watch the footage so if you know someone George you could tape it pretty easy.

What's the go on copyright for this stuff? Could it go in the BZM or would that be too formal a website to have something like this? Imagine 30 second video grabs from every game we've played... or a choice of say 5 each having key moments of the game?

Once the Club takes ownership, they obviously have an agreement with Telstra and agreements with many other media organisations. Then video could be added to the site, highlight clips of every game, great marks goals, individual player highlights etc.

Probably best to play it safe until then.
