Thanks guys - all entered.

Warby - of course its easier for me for you to put it in, but this thread is the next best alternative.

The players are listed separately under 'Blues Brothers' and 'Brothers at Other Clubs',

mols....silly question perhaps but....do I have to register seperately from TC?

Different passwords and /or user names?

If I do; it might explain why I can't seem to enter data in BLUESEUM?

Warby, yeah you do. Not many people have registered for the Blueseum, so you can register with the same username and password if you like, but they are two seperate sites.

BTW steve....I haven't yet isolated Keith McKenzie's fragmented 2 game Coaching career at Carlton....I can remember it but; I haven't got the story of why in writing yet.

No worries Warby. If you come across it let me know, if not I'll have to think of another way of getting access to the info...

I've done a game review this morning BW - feel free to edit it. Most of Sunday's work has gone.

Lucky for me Bub woke me up at 5am and I've been able to do some BZM stuff ~!

All that hard work I did Sun night doing a review of the game was for nothing (& it wasn't easy after that thrashing)!!! I thought you weren't doing them any more.

Added the McGraths- even managed to get it all formatted.

BW - I wasn't going to. Last I saw it on Sunday it only said 'Carlton was comprehensively beaten' or something like that, so I assumed it was too hard to put together.

unluckily for me, I watched the whole game on Foxtel, and further, went into work at 6am after the bub woke me up.

I just assumed I was doing you a favour....definitely not my intention to do more, just thought your work had been lost and thought i'd fill in.

Good stuff with using the tables re McGrath!

Yes please, J. What is a good program for resizing pics? I use Photo Editor at work where its easy to do, but I only have Photoshop at home- I couldn't find the right option to rezise, only to crop???

No problem, photoshop can do it.

There should be an Image menu at the top of photoshop.

If you open that there should be an Image Size... option about halfway down the menu.

I couldn't find an Image menu - although it did say it was a starter edition? Do I need to download something bigger / better?

Mols, I'm rusty on photoshop, I haven't used it in about 5 years, but if you choose "save as" and select a file type, can you also select a resolution, image size, etc.

I'm pretty sure you can do this in either Paintshop Pro or Photoshop (possibly even both), but I can't be certain. Sorry to be so wishywashy, just thought it might be worth a quick look.

Thanks steve, will have a go at it.

On a more serious front, I'd like to thank wolfister for spending time developing a ladders macro for the BZM, and together with steve, we've finished off all years with ladders. The BZM is really taking shape - I'm really proud of it.

From here:
* Steve is doing more finals reviews
* I'm starting from single gamers and intend to make sure everyone has a bio (huge job / happy to share it)
* BW has done a great job sourcing pics of recent players. If anyone has some bored time on thenet and wants to find older pics, they would be most welcome...

Any more ideas?

I would estimate that there would have been several thousand hours of work put into the Blueseum already. It has been amazing, still lots to do though.

Good idea re the Blue Birds:

http://www.blueseum.org/tiki-index.php?page=Blue+Birds

Give us all the info you can on the Blue Birds!!

Shag, your mum was a Blue Bird you should be able to give us some info.

Righteo, call to arms my fellow Bluebaggers....

Talks with the Club have gone fantasticly well, but now we need to finish off afew things. I need assistance with PROJECT PLAYER BIO...:

* All players need bios
* This can be a simple one liner telling us how many games they played, using this format...

'Wearing guernsey X, Player Y played Z games (and kicked F goals) for Carlton after debuting in Season G'

* I have done all players who have played up to 6 games in Navy Blue, which accounts for about 1/3 of all Carlton players.
* Some bios have been done for players who have played more.

WHAT DO I NEED?

I need volunteers who will copy in that line above, and update it, for all players who have played a certain number of games.

ie Dannyboy - do those with 11 games. The data is easy to find, and I can help you, but I'm going nuts doing this. AND WE NEED IT QUICK!

So volunteer if you can.....

DONE
1,2,3,4,5,6... and 375 (!)

NEED DOING
7.....50 (for those who dont have bios already)

PM ME!

Mols,

I've put something in for every final up to, and including, the 1938 Grand Final. The next year to do is 1941 (we didn't play finals in '39 or '40). I have basic materials for every final until the end of the 1962 season. It's a long weekend over here on the weekend, so I'll try and get all these seasons finished.

The hassle is that I've started a new job today, and I'm back at uni part-time too, so I'm going to struggle to get the rest of the finals done quickly, so if anyone wants to volunteer to help I'd be glad of it if you are in a hurry.

steve - wonderful job. The pearly white gates at Princes Park will always be open for you.

Just to show the power of the Blueseum... how's this for an email received from Geoff Southby, whom we managed to get a link to his own bio:

The site looks good and I am very happy with my profile. The only
slight error is that my back problems came early in the 1981 season
during Parkin's first year as coach.

Keep up the good work

How has the general feedback on the site been going?

Imagine past players being able to add prmiership photos, stories of other, perhaps lesser known players.... this thing could be massive for the Club, and for us fans.

but it needs volunteers. We need to get it completed before the Club starts linking to it!!
