Thanks for that.

I wonder if social club members can get guest passes for that game?

That's what I want to know Jarusa. My mum is coming from Cairns especially for the game so I'm hoping we can get her a guest pass.

doenst sound like it :(

may have to get your mother the cheap social club membership from the Optus offer danielle to get a her seat.

Doesnt even look like social club members can book.

A good thing though is that where my father and I usually sit is always free, however for this game i dont suspect it will be, but also with the GenerationBlue breakfast function we should be able to get there early and get our seats reserved with the old scarf trick.

I spoke to a friend who works in the membership department. She said there are no social club guest passes available. They dont think they will be putting them on sale either. Kinda sucks if you want to bring friends in with you.

So now, i will be sitting with my 2 interstate member friends near the cheer squad!

As an AFL Member I think I might be better off just booking my ticket as soon as possible....won't be able to sit with you guys for this one.

Might do that tomorrow so its all done and out the way

Does not suck at all...Buy a membership (local and interstate) and dd the $12 for the reserved seat (That's 12 +95 for an interstater). For a once in a 110 year event...that's a bargain. I can't believe people were paying $280 a ticket to see Bette Midler..and it sold out!?!...FFS!
This is a cheap event...put it into perspective...how much will it cost to buy it back? simple ...you can't

..and just before everyone starts the.."but I'm on a single/unemployed/etc etc and can't afford it" that's fine ...I feel for you and I've hated it when I haven't had the $ to do something too but at least YOU can't do something about it.
( The one I'll never forget...I sat outside the tennis centre bleeding when I didn't have the dosh to see Pink Floyd)

It 's the fence sitters who have no perspective on this event.

I was onto this last year wondering why the membership department weren't flogging this in the package...."get a membership and MAYBE you will be at this once in a lifetime (even morte) event, don't sign up and we will guarantee you'll miss it!"

   :x  :x

Sorry pedro, was only joshing about Noosa. All the Melbourne supporters will be there, I think they have been allocated one row in the Legends Stand, they don't like to travel intersuburbs so that should cover those of them adventurous enough to see what the big wide world has to offer.

I believe as an incentive to get another supporter along there will be a "GO NUMBER 9" A4 flyer printed out on the day as well.

That said the form they're in at the moment, and given the way they match up against us of late, the bastards will probably give us a right proper pantsing ... let's hope not!

Blueblood, I work for Optus & we were offered a social club membership for $150.00. I didn't get it because they were only selling 11 games & I get 17 games. But the offer ended on April 9th so it's too late anyway.

I am pissed off!! Fair enough that members get in first and all.... but I am a not a member, not by choice, but because I can't afford it. I have been a member before, but being a student, driving to tafe everyday and then work.... I just can't afford to get one, when I will not be going to every match. They should allocate a small area in the legends stand for general public, to buy tickets now and be able to go. And if they dont, they should show the game Live in Free to air TV.

I would think that as they showed the Collingwood Farewell Live as soon as it was a sellout not on channel eddie then this is a most probable occurance
