What has happened with his hammy? I would have thought he might have missed 2-3 weeks but he is still listed as being 4 - 6 away from playing?

He re-injured it at training last week...Will now be out for another 4-6 weeks...Supposedly a very bad tear and therefore the 4-6 week time frame...

Better to give it the full 6 and get it right. He's too important to the future structure of the spine to mess with it.

Yeah he looked a distraught and dejected young man i think he shed a tear, and walked off hands on his head with his head down.

I was so looking forward to seeing Harts play this year so I would like to wish him all the best and i hope they get his hammy right so he can go on and have a cracking second half of the year.

That's a pretty unfair comment isn't it?

It's only his 2nd year.

Some sports science types, or health secotr sorts might be able to either confirm or deny my thought that some kids on fast growth / bulk plans get all sorts of tears and niggles along the way. With the bulk Hartlett has put on would this be a case?

Possibly.

A bloke I played with last year and who is playing for Oakleigh this year, James McWhinney, had 4 hamstring injuries last year in the Under 18s. Very, very solid kid who's quads are huge. I reckon his hamstring injuries were related to the size of his quads.

Could very well be the same for Harts.

It would be good if there was such a thing as a medical precedure that stretches the hamstring giving it more flexibility. So many of the games stars would be playing a lot more games.
Keep you chin up Harts and maintain the hunger!!

Highly likely. Let's not forget his injured knee, which can affect his hamstring in a variety of ways (if it is on the same leg).

It would seem Adam hasn't been conditioning his legs as much as his upper body to this stage. In any case, it's more than likely he can recover from whatever is causing him these niggles.

I read about this exercise that is supposed to stop hammy injuries. You get down on your knees, with your legs behind you, someone holds your ankles from behind, and you go forward and back up,without using your arms for support
