Another problem with supporters is they are happy if they win any game
Like the comments after we beat Essendon** by a couple of goals last year
A team that has won one game since as has been diabolically bad

It’s like supporters think there in a 1993 time warp
Guess what
Time constantly brings change

Mate, I don't mind your posts. I have a laugh.
You paint everyone with the same brush.
You believe everything nuff nuffs say on media, and don't like nice people.
Like all of us, and coaches, you are not a know it all, but you talk like a person who thinks they do. Trump like
Don't get angry. That's just my perception.

I'm responding to the above re Effendope game.
You really don't know what happened in that game ie the back drop.

You know this much about footy:
Never underestimate an underdog who has a lot to prove (see Aust vs Turkey, or Carlton in 1999).
This game was Effendopes Grand Final. Like Carlton folk the Effendope and carlton clash can come up with surprising results (see 2002 game)
Effendopes knew we had Weitering missing and Caddy could run amok.
They had players returning: Redman (their best defender, Durham, their best mid, and Pick 5 200cm athletic 200cm at HF)
The Effendon midfield wasn't their weakness, so they thought they could win.
We had Carroll join HOF and Motlop in LTI, Ollie and weiters and the Elijah hang over against us.
A lot of sore bodies after beating Cats. Cripps and walsh were carrying injuries, sore as fk,
carrying 3 babies Ison, Byrne, Young. I guess you could call Wilson and Dean babies too.

It was a fair fight.
You think we were lucky to win. I think we did what we had to do to put them away with 10 minutes left on the clock, and didnt know how to kill the game.

I was proud on the boys. Rapt what Fraser was able to get them to do to win the game. You choose to spit on their effort and ability. I didnt overrate the team, you do.

We got the 4 points. That's the bottom line. We move on.

Its only a game, A game of inches. Some games are not worth reading too much into. Like I said, we won, move on.

As for the rest of your post, sure, fire away.

Its ok for Voss to say that we were trying to protect our lead now !

How many times have we seen him on the ground flare his arms around for us to flood back when we had a slender lead in the 4th. And the stress and intensity on his face while doing so. Enough to scare anyone into not making any mistakes i would have thought.

So who's fault was it that we were being protective of the lead. It was his instructions.

No, no, no... it was all Austin I tells ya!

It’s obvious that Voss makes a reasonable assistant coach but a senior coach he ain’t and never will be
Face it because of his name and playing record he was a senior coach at AFL level for nearly 10 year

He have wasted nearly half a year
Anyway we move on
He is on 800000 has had a break after “ resigning “
Let’s move on
And get the best coach available
The board and club have [REDACTED] up senior coaching appointments for 25 years
Let’s hope the club gets this one right

Who would you recommend if you were in the drivers seat ( top 3 choices)?

Let you know in five years…

Love to know which club(s) keogh believes have a perfect board, that have never stuffed up or relied on blind luck... who should we model ourselves on?

From AFL website....

On Friday, the Bombers also announced the panel to select the new coach, which will feature president Andrew Welsh, vice president Anthony Di Pietro, board members Ted Richards and Tim Roberts, and HR executive Caroline Monzon.

While no external people are on the panel, the Bombers said they would “draw on subject matter experts from both within the club and outside it to inform our assessment and decision-making”.

Makes out Committee positively elite

But I'll let Keogh be the judge of that.

Big-name assistant throws his hat in the ring for the Carlton job, not Essendon*’s
Jake Niall

June 27, 2026 — 6:12pm

Hawthorn assistant coach Daniel Giansiracusa will not pursue the Essendon* coaching position, but is expected to be a candidate for the Carlton role that is occupied until season’s end by unbeaten interim coach Josh Fraser.

While Fraser won his sixth game on end as caretaker coach of the Blues, who easily accounted for the Eagles on Saturday, this masthead confirmed that Giansiracusa, the assistant who left Essendon* last year to enhance his chances of becoming a senior coach, would not be a candidate for the Bombers role. The club has just established a five-member panel to select its next senior coach.
