Essendon*** and Carlton will eat him alive like Mick and Worsfold.
Kouta if you think that would be the case for Horse, a battle-hardened Coach...........what would happen to a newbie?
We have all seen both sides. Malthouse vs Teague. Pagan vs Bolton.
The desire for instant gratification is now ingrained in society. If you polled the members and you told them the team would play off in a GF in 3, 4 or 5 years, would they be happy to hear that?
3 Sure. 4 Maybe. 5 I'm off to do something else.
You only have to look at the fan base here on TC from one week to the next. There's posts based on Passion. Posts based on Rational thinking and then there is the mandatory..........."Sack everyone, it's all @#$%.'
3 weeks later all is forgiven..............mostly
I'm pretty happy with the Selection Panel. I think all bases are covered.
As a slight curve ball, I would add Travis Boak to the mix. The game evolves so quickly, I think having a recently retired player, who has done the hard yards, can help to sort a Coaches 'fact from fiction' i.e. what a Coaches game plan looks like measured against a players real world perception of what is achievable.
I don't think Williams needs to be in the room. He can monitor the conversation from elsewhere.
Graham Wright, Rob Priestley, Chris Davies, Adam Simpson and Travis Boak. Davies, Simpson and Boak have only had 6 months at the club, so I consider them more outsiders than in.
Regards CazzesmanGreat idea. Boak wouldnt hurt. He would add value.
I really like that Simmo and Boak would be outsiders but know the Players, the gaps, the philosophies of the assistants, their voice in Vossy's room, and why Vossy failed the group, and why Fraser has moved the needle, intimately.
