What do you do with Weitering and Cripps
Do you trade them at the end of the year?
Or do you not have an opinion
Not sure what their trades have to do with sugar hits.
Last night I said we look good in defense, and with no Hawkins at Geelong, I can't see a match up for weitering.
That doesnt imply we dont have a need for weitering's strength on the last line, typically against the beasts, like Tilthorpe.
I remember Derksen player on Walker (Crows) and was rag dolled, and we lost. Walker kicker 5.
Horses for courses.
I am impressed with the youth we have amassed and seeing them flourish.
I don't think Flynn Young will be lucky to stay on our list, ditto campo twins, but otherwise we have a good blend of seniors and kids coming through, and a war chest to coompete against tassie offers to FA's. That's a good position to be in imo.
What we are seeing may be more than a sugar hit. Looks like we have tweaked and preserved energy we wasted with Vossy's super press.
We may make the 10, or close to it. I actually thought that before the win last night. Play with the predictor. Its an even comp.
ie we may end up with pick 8 or 9, or even 10 or 11, which will get pushed further with bids for FS and NGA.
Its great we have banked two 2 firsts for a FS who may be end up Pick 1, and definitely top 3. He's that good. That's a win for us.
Like Ison, Walker has been developed over last 2 years to become the players they are. Have you seen 18yo Walker dominate in the VFL?
Jagga and Dean look like they were worth 2 picks around 10 and two picks in the teens.
Cripps only has one year left on his contract. He makes our quality kids stand tall. Important.
Surely you saw some great signs last night, from kids, from the imports and from the seniors who have obviously lifted since Voss. Obviously.
I can see a bright future, and Carlton becoming a destination club again. You see, the footy world doesn't harbour the disdain you have for our Board, in fact, all the footy world know is we are a very strong club in Brand and off field. I'm also sure our connection to pokies isnt what anyone thinks of when it comes to betting in the AFL. The AFL Commission has its pours all over that mantle.
