Like George but it’s just the wrong move. Lord should be supporting Cripps and to get the development he and we need. Just need to move forward.

Give it time, maybe he's replacing Cripps. And maybe I'm replacing... whoever Salma Hayek is shacked up with.

Hewett had some good forward time last week and snagged a couple of goals. I'll be glad to see him back in.
Derksen is the interesting one. I've been keen to see them try him forward and he played forward/ruck last week in the 2's. He doesn't get a heap of it but he competes. I'd like to see him get an opportunity in that role in the AFL as well. It's time we looked at what these blokes are capable of so we can make informed decisions at years end.
Same with Ben Campo. He isn't deserving of a spot yet but I'd like to see how he acquits himself before we let him go.

Agree. Hewitt deserves it and the young kids need a chance.

You can't keep on doing the same thing and expect a different result. We need to change it up.

Cripps needs a rest.

Unless we're dropping Cripps, or playing him as full time ruck/fwd, including Hewett is a stupid idea

Billy Wilson will play for Carlton tomorrow night.
The young defender comes back in for game No.5. George Hewett also recalled, which means the outs could make for interesting reading.

I’m down for Harry on a wing or in the ruck.

As long as he’s not playing forward and definitely not back…. that would be a calamity!

On second thoughts l prefer Harry out of the team altogether.

I don’t like George being recalled on the back of the #narrative.

The whole flower joint is just flotsam.

agree. give the kid some time

lord comes back for one game, looked better than walsh, cerra and jagga and then gets promptly dropped. its no way to build confidence or continuity aong the kids.

I’m not sure why so many people are bagging Crippa. He may not be winning the Brownlow this year but he is probably leading our B&F. He may not be up to his usual standard but he is still one of the best in the competition at what he does.
The onus is on the coaching group to use him in the best way. And he may be trying to do too much but he’s not Robinson Crusoe there and at least he is trying to do something!

Oh, and I think there is an independent nominations committee which is supposed to recommend new Board members to the Board but I don’t know who they are and don’t believe it is transparent. I am a member and have been for a long time. However, I don’t think only paid up members can express their opinions. Yes, you must be paid up to vote but only a very small percentage of members show up to vote. And I also don’t think that paying more money should entitle you to have veto rights as has often been the case - and the problem - at Carlton.
And, you can very seriously influence the direction of the club by withholding your membership and in many cases that may be the final straw for sacking a coach - if continuing with the coach means too many members dropping off.
Also, the players don’t pay membership fees and they have a very strong influence on club decisions by their actions on and off the field.
Most importantly, TC is NOT the Board. It is an open group for all of us to express our views. Am I wrong?

Decent changes. Hewett spent quite a bit of time forward last week so he may play mid/defensive forward on one of their ball users (Fletcher?)
I don't mind them trying things. Our players need to continue to develop and increase their skillset. No matter their age or experience.
Does it open the way for Harry to play second ruck? Personally I'd like to see him on the wing and out of our forward line but if he's second ruck, that's not going to happen.

I’m looking forward to seeing a Hewett chase the lions half backs out of defence to stop their run and transition.

I am praying for a 100+ Loss so we can finally see the back of this useless Coach that is quickly building a reputation for himself for ruinning the Careers of Young Promising Players!
