To be fair, what were they supposed to do?

Threaten to leave the AFL?

Nothing wrong with being a bit louder about the lack of fairness.
Point out the inconsistencies whereby the reigning premiers have landed players under this system for pittance compared to what other clubs will now pay.

This is a double penalty. The lions get to use the rort ti draft top talent then watch as others are denied the same. Imagine if we watched as Brisbane managed a bid on Cody?!

I don't think anyone's expecting threats.

Yes , and in the off season miraculously after winning a Premiership Brisbane managed to gain the service's of Sam Draper and Oscar Allen off cellar dwellers West Coast and Essendon* with , yes , you guessed it , with AFL wonder boy Gregg Swann running the Lions . Dead set mutt of a bloke .

Believe me, he doesn't have the brains to organise something like that. He was lucky he was surrounded by smart individuals. He's a muppet who we sacked.

Rumours of an emergency board meeting to sack Voss coming up. I suspect they’ll let him go to Brisbane then pull the trigger.

As if sacking Voss will make any difference. It’s just the board covering their arses and being “seen” to do something

I concur

Priestley has to stop the Corporate chum networking. AFL Commissioners just shit in his face…and it look to me, he will be happy to accept that.

Stand up for our club.

We are bottom of the barrel and have to fight our way out of this. This is our first fight since…..the 90s.

I recall Ian Collin’s toeing the line getting chummy with AFL Commissioners in 2002. They shat in his face, fined us $1M, forcing us in debt, then taking away two years of Drafts, including 2 No 1 Draft picks.

We had no money to fight city hall after they set those fines.

Nowadays we are a successful business but shit footy team. We have the means off field to fight for our on field success.

Don’t just sit there getting shat on. It’s not the Carlton thing to do. I want our club back,

In answering the question
How do you get on the board
You can nominate
An independent committee looks at your application
Once your in you have 3 years minimum
The independent nominations commission consists of 3 people
Andrew Mandour who is involved in law firm KL Gates
John Davies auditor at Ernst and Young
And Priestley so in other words it’s not independent
Have to be 18 or over
So I can have crack
Somehow I think my CV wouldn’t cut the mustard

They won’t sack Voss this week
More likely after the Brisbane game

Are you F**** kidding me? Please tell me your not being Serious about this process?

I am still confused. If the President has a direct say on whom will join the Board ( Under the banner of being independent), then why doesn't the president has the power to remove or sack a Board member if they underperform?

I was told a while ago that the Board can sack the President today if they want but the President can not question a single thing about the Board... how does that Work?

Our football Club no longer feels like a football club. It feels like a Regime. A dictatorship Regime that is ruling by an iron fist, and you have all those Carlton supporters who just follow like blind sheep and dare NOT question the people in power.

What is even more Pathetic is that those supporters will attack anyone who dare to stand up and question the way the club is run.

How can a Club get highjacked by Two or three Rich families who pump millions into it , then Claim it their own?

You have a President of a Big house Footy club in Victoria, who actually resides in Sydney and thinks he can run the club from over there???

I mean that alone should have tirggered Red Flags everywhere!!

Then I been told that We have an independent panel of honest decent indiviuals with high morals who would fairly Select a Board member for the club YET the current president is part of that Panel??

Two Red Flags in a nutshell... How an earth do the members let that happen? this is Corruption at its best. Does the AFL have no say in these matters?
