If Frankie can repeat his recent form, he’ll make a difference in place of Fog

I'm a little worried for Cerra's hamstrings after the weekend hammy carnage...

You reckon he could play down back or up forward?

That might be less strain on his hammies?

They've gotta try something different with him, it feels like groundhog day at the moment.

I know Cerra has played HB before, but I’m not a big fan of him in that position. He is a bit too one paced to give us the dash we need, and he’s not a great a defender. I think it’s midfield or bust.

cerra is atleast ambidextrous and has a bit of penetration to his kicks. he could possibly quarterback our rebound off halfback. a houston type role. he needs more mongrel tho.

To be fair, the only time Houston had any mongrel was when he OD'd on Viagra. If he can do it, Cerra could walk it in. He has a lot more physical intent than Houston.

IMO Cerra is underrated.

He's great when fit.
Looked in great shaope in preseason.

Great midfielder, wingman, HF and HB.

Easily one of our best 23, and I don't see him as slow. I see him as elusive and a good kick on either foot.

i think he'd be a great HB flanker who leads our rebound. the old newman role. we tried to fill it with boyd, but boyd doesn't find enough of it. watching him live, he just doesn't work hard enough. cerra has the work ethic, and the ability.

and it would have to save his hammies to some degree - distributing off the HB flank compared to running thru the middle.

while cerra isn't avoidant of contact like say, harry mckay. my ex was port, so i watched lots of them. port adelaide version of houston has/ had mongrel. the season i watched (maybe the one before he moved to the pies?) he was AA. led tackles, metres gained, disposal % ... and all of his tackles are with intent. he's not throwing out arms and wrapping up, he was burying blokes. he was like a heat seeking missile.

not sure about his time with the pies. the game isn't overly appealing to me right now, to go watch 5-6 games a weekend.

in grade 5, my dad told me ambidextrous was being able to burp and fart at the same time.

it came up in conversation in the classroom, and i told the teacher what ambidextrous means, as per my dad's wisdom. got smack on the arse and sent straight to the principal

From what I saw, the weekend wrap was

Dean - Shoulder
Williams - Ribs
Cowan - Hamstring check, but returned to the field
Haynes - Heard a whisper re hamstring

Anyone got any updates

I was watching on the mobile but it looked like Acres hurt his shoulder in his first contest. I saw he was playing later and it didn't look like it impacted him that much because he was still missing targets by 12 metres but it's a watch as well I reckon.
