Well the fact that you’re not allowed to use hindsight when making your picks is definitely a problem that needs a solution.

I’m actually not as critical of SOS as some others.
However, he does tend to redraft players he has previously picked even with the hindsight of seeing them underperform at the level..
While it is true he is not alone in picks/trades that don’t quite work out, I don’t think there are too many with such a prolific record of redrafting their own draft picks who have underperformed or continuing to over-rate players despite ordinary exposed form?

I'm pretty sure Wellsy didn't want me as List Manager. I think it was more along the lines of - get his lunch and make his tea.
A man's gotta know his limitations Keogh.

As for the why no flags in 30 years. Yep that is a tough one that has a 100 answers. It obviously started in 2002 when Jack royally @#$% the Club over. That lasted 10 years for starters.

It has been a constant stream of BS with too many people with money, having too much of a say in the Club.

Regards Cazzesman

But it does seem to me that List Management teams within the AFL are narrowing their search for players to father sons private schools other AFL players and academy
Whether it’s due to lack of funds stupidity or both who exactly knows
I think Austin is clearly a better List Manager than SOS who now is @#$%&! up the list at StKilda
Fancy paying over 25% of your cap on a b grade mid a small forward who hamstrings are of a 40 year old and 2 players in 18 years at their previous club finished in the B and F top 10 4 times
No real suprise though when Ross Lyon is the coach and gives him a job because he is a mate
And who appointed Ross
Andrew Bassatt who despite not one of Lyon’s coached teams ever finishing top 6 in scoring in a season a near necessity to win a flag employs him

You don’t need experience as a List Manager than to know that the wrong people at the top leads to nowhere
Glad Sayers is gone

I beg to differ, he just keeps handing in the same homework at every opportunity.

He knows exactly who he wants… anyone he's recruited before!

An ITK on Bigfooty seems to think it is 'confirmed' that West Coast will bid on Dean at pick #3.

AR&% HOLE WC. The pick that they got for B Grader Oscar Allen. That’s the crap part. Duft Cooper Taylor or whatever his name is; would feel great being second best hey?

Hope we can repay the favour one day.

We should tell them we will go after their Victorian players in a few years time.

What a bunch of arseholes. The only reason they have this extra pick is because the AFL gifted them a PP at the end of the first round so that could be used on a free agent they brought in. It didn't dilute their compo. Hopefully we can return the favour one day.

Keep looking at the fixture and feel it’s another tough year. If we are good enough we will be top 4. Are we good enough? I think if we stay fit we have the team. Let’s see.

The corruption of the system isn't even thinly veiled anymore. The ALF gave Meth Coast a free pick for being useless and then they traded it straight away to Brisbane (for no reason) for an uncontracted free agent.
So Brisbane and eagles in cahoots on Allen’s contract length/$s to ensure pick 2 and pay them back with a pick for Starcevich. :banghead: :garthp:
