Reluctance to use run and carry, Surrey?
Which players are you using to execute that game plan? The coaches role is to extract the most out of the list at his disposal. IMHO, that's what he's doing.
How many times do we see our players kick instead of handballing to a player forward or beside them BV?
Surely, you've noticed our players ignoring the run carrier next to them to kick. Mostly inside50 as well.
That is coaching and game plan execution.
The way we ignore leading targets inside f50 was highlighted on one of the footy shows a few weeks back.
It happens so often that it has to be to instruction.
Exactly. If a player doesn’t follow instructions they aren’t played. If a player is listening to coaches they are dumped.
Enough said.
C'mon lads, this is getting a little silly now, sorry.
1. There is absolutely no coach in the league, the VFL, country footy etc that would tell their players to ignore a lead in the F50.
That is absolute rubbish.
2. If a player doesn't follow instructions then they should be dropped.
So would you drop Crippa, Curnow, TDK and McKay and who would you replace them with?
And if you dropped any of the bottom 6, the ones coming in are not much better.
We just don't have the depth.
Plus we can't just drop most of the team, we have to build on-field cohesion too and that only comes from playing together as a group.
