I’ll say one thing for the Sayers era - until his own goal, there were no signs of the leaky sneakers that amplified the damage in the early 2000s.

Agree with that. For the first time in a long time it felt like we had a solid off field team.

Most codes of conduct are pretty broad. Sounds like this a more routine potential breach rather than anything too amazing, outside of the affected parties of course

It is a pretty Woke organisation so it wouldn't take a lot for staff to be offended

disagree. i propose we start a lobby to have it on a banner for the Essendon* game.

full 4k glory too. not some pixelated pickle effort.

something catchy like

we're carlton, fkkk the rest

in a classy sans serif font.

If we are so woke, wouldn't that be the best reason not to give him the job? :D

The big dick’s dick shot set the rot.

He’s gone.

I don’t think the board is tainted but the director of football should take a hard look at himself.

He would and then kiss the mirror and congratulate himself on being so good looking.

Board does not have the right priorities and there is a lot of delusion amongst the lot of them.

Aren’t the people to fix this mess.

You either want the coach or you dont . Five hour meeting ? Wes would have sorted it out in five minutes . This current mob running the show are so wishy washy . What we are crying out for in there is a couple of past players with a bit of pull . The hallmark of our successfull era"s was a good sprinkling of past players . I can go right back to Laurie Kerr and Bugsy Comben when it started . History repeats . Dogga Brown , Ian Prendergast etc etc . Are there any of these guys prepared to put there hand up coz the Club desperately needs some of these guys to chip in .

Yep new board. Please. For how we finished last year and this year, clearly its a no brainer that Voss goes. And Lloyd too. And i would go as far as saying Austin as well.

Players are tired and unmotivated. Coaches are responsible for that.

Players wanting out. Coaches are responsible for that.

And yes Players are responsible for us being shit too. I know that. But disgruntled people can get motivated and sold a vision. This is not happening at the club and changes need to be made. Quickly.

Clean sweep. 5 hrs to make that decision is benny hill kind of funny.

I think it shows a board that respects opinions and allows everyone to have their say with impartiality and that through the discussion a determination ie outcome is made. What you are talking about is a dictator; well we have been through that and remember how that worked out.

Nah , not askin" for a clean sweep . Just sayin" there is a bad imbalance in the board . We need a couple of ex players in there with football knowledge to correct that imbalance . The current mob are very good on the business side of things which is great . But we are a Football Club first and foremost and thats where our main focus should be . I"m happy for the current board to focus on the business side of things but add a couple of commited explayers to drive footy stuff . They are currently out of whack .

There’s just so much to pay for these days Mick. The role of the board is a far cry from yesteryear.

Academies… women’s teams… Ex-players with the right chops are a rarity.

It’s the salaried staff that drive the football side of things.

Ex players with the right chops ? theres plenty out there more than capable . Its a matter whether they love the Club like the old timers did .
