Geelong had a 6 day turnaround
We had 9
Geelong were 5% off
We were 100% switched on

The players
SOS in defence suprised me
The Hollands boys have been great
Elijah makes a huge difference
Great decision maker Ollie has improved
Like Carroll did some stupid things but is a penetrating kick and has a crack
We need a guy in defence who can kick the football well
He may be it
McGovern McKay and Haynes were great today but I want to see that consistently
Haynes plays on the small and medium size forwards
He stays put in defence when his opponent goes up
the ground consequently he gets a lot of easy marks
Stats can lie
We recruited a 33 year old to be role player in defence so according to the club our premiership window
is open
I still think we are a few players short of a flag
Our small forwards arnt consistent enough
The best thing about this year is we have been hard to score against
You have no chance winning a flag if your in the bottom 12 for scores against
We have very little depth and with a 0 -4 start we need to win as many games as possible
It’s important to rest keys players
We may not have that luxury
The team that wins the big one peaks at the right time
Geelong were ripe for the picking
The game in Adelaide will be far harder
Nobody cares Keogh. Your forever pessimism will just wash over everyone tonight.
Regards CazzesmanI'm gonna defend Keogh here Cazz, something I never thought I'd do....
I didn't read his post as pessimistic at all, particularly by his standards - it's not blowing smoke up their arses, but it's a fair post, even complementary of some players
The season is now taking shape
What tends to happen is there are a couple of teams who are ordinary
That looks like West Coast
North and Richmond are better but should be beaten by most teams who are switched on
You can safely rule out Melbourne StKilda Essendon* out of winning it
What generally happens is a couple of teams fall out of the eight and are replaced
Sydney will need to win more often
Port are just average
The improvers are Gold Coast Collingwood and Adelaide
When you think about yesterday’s win you have to think where we sit compared to the rest of the comp
Also what’s our draw
We play West Coast again in June
Any team that plays West Coast twice has a one game advantage because they are that bad
It’s more likely now to win from the bottom half of the eight because the competition is so even
Like Brisbane did last year
As I said previously the most impressive thing has been the inability to for teams to score against us
Thus we have the 4 th best percentage
And it’s imperative to be hard to score against us to win the flag
The concern for me is our lack of depth
We have to have good run with injuries to be any chance
Darcy Moore goes out Pies win
If Weitering is out we are in serious trouble
I’m simply not an emotional supporter
I follow us but look at the big picture
Winning in Adelaide against a potential final eight candidate will help our cause
