Great win baggers
Anything less than 10 goals, wouldn’t have lifted many.

73 inside 50 to 35.

WCE 20 scores from 35 entries.

A polished team would have won by 20 goals.

Walsh, Hewett excellent in the midfield.

Weitering, Silvagni pretty good.

At times WCE were able to move it through the middle of the ground with ease.

Durdin took his chances unlike others!

decided to listen to the 3rd on radio. Kemp goes down injured just as i stated to relax. Grrrr.

sounds like Walsh and Durdin found some plum form. Hewitt and Cripps continue with their excellent form. unbelievable how depressed Blues fans on this site are. a ten goal win isn’t good enough for you. a win is a win. a ten goal win is a ten goal win. even against an immature opposition.

Optimistists vs Pessimists

Delusional vs Illusuonal

We won by 11 goals.

No McKay, Kemp, Newman, Cincotta, Boyd or Pittonet … let alone Smith, Sam DeKoning and can’t say.

The season has just begun.

1 win 100%

All right. Bring ‘em on.

walsh was excellent. silvagni, weiters, cripps, motlop all good too. i think white showed a little bit. carroll was really good, he already better than cowan.

mckay gone for a while, and kemp's season over. charlie and tdk looked like cramp, with charlie probs held back bcos the game was over with 15 to go.

north will be a litmus test. they're gonna be up for good friday, and we're shuffling the deck chairs up front.

from the in-game forum,

If Motlop could get a tank, could he be a mid?

have you seen his legs? never seen bigger legs on a new recruit and yet isn’t fast and certainly will never have a tank for the middle without shredding 5 kg from each of his legs. he thinks he’s Dusty at times with the don’t argue, oh they argued, holding the ball against.

but i can’t se him being a full time mid ever without changing his body and skill level a lot. certainly if he can get his skills developed he could become a point of difference in the middle to rest our A-team mids so they can do the fourth quarter on the bench later in the season. that’s if we start winning games and are talking finals, i haven’t given up. i think
we have the talent and just need to improve form and game day tactics/strategy. clearly the coaches ans team are looking to change things up
this year and it hasn’t settled yet. have faith baggers.

The way Eagles were able to take it from back line or kick in raised eyebrows and blood pressure

Looks like they played during the hottest part of a hot day in Adelaide.

Wait until next week if you think that style of football will help us.
Yes it was 11 goals, but that says more about them than us.
Our F50 work is woeful, yes we have injuries but let's not lose perspective on where we are really at as a club.
A lot of work to do, if possible.

Was that the worse 71 point win you have ever seen
Hewett is a star
Good to Walsh hit the scoreboard
Weiters and JSOS Good down back
Actually like Motlop at centre bounces

Charlie slowly coming back
TDK looks banged up
Carroll was pretty good looks impressive
Saad had a better game
Doc still turned it over to much
Durdin was brilliant let's hope he gets a run at it

Kicking at goal abysmal should have won by 100

I thought that the umpires were kind to us

Worry is Mackay Kemp and Lord looking like he was on crutches with moon boot

execution stil mostly poor. but it was great to move the ball, look inside, lower eyes and look inwards in the F50. some good signs to build on. that's how we need to play.

i could see pittonet (sigh, gasp) playing next week with tdk a permanent forward.

Please no Pittonet as a second ruck/forward!

yeah i know. if it's up to me, pittonet never plays in our beloved jersey again. but michael seems to love him.

i would like to see tdk permanently forward. saves his body against Xerri, who's an animal.

Team stats:
Disposal Efficiency (Us v Eagles)
75.1% vs 79.7%
Efficiency inside 50:
50.7% vs 57.1%

Aside from Harry, we had 7 players kicking under 60% and 3 with 60% or under for disposal efficiency.

For a game with little to no pressure (they peaked at 150 at one stage) that is pretty poor.

If Melbourne beat Essendon* and Hawks beat Port we finish the round 12th on the ladder with 1 win. Amazing!!

Surreal experience catching up on the 2nd half match thread knowing we won by 71. Ease up on the entitlement: we needed a win to get the engine started, and we spanked the shit out of them. Even WCE can be competitive, as the Bears discovered on their own turf. I'm happy/relieved, and if the stats are anything to go by I may even be casting a vote for the Governator.
