Hard enough finding a CEO, never mind someone to replace this:

Tom was appointed to the Chief Operating Officer role in 2023. Whilst maintaining the portfolio of CFO in overseeing Finance, IT, Venue Operations, Data & Analytics, Legal Affairs, non-traditional revenues, Sustainability & Hospitality Venue Operations, Tom also oversees the Club’s Commercial Department led by Morten Webb. He acts as the Club’s Company Secretary and plays a key role in the interactions of the Board and various Board Sub-Committees, whilst also being a Board Member of Carlton Respects Pty Ltd.

Nothin " wrong with working beyond the official retirement age . I did . Didn't lift the bails until I was 76 . I gave it all I had right up until my last day . And the hierarchy were begging me to keep going . They reckoned even at my ripe old age I was still running rings about the young blokes . Cook is as fit as blokes 20 years his junior and is firing on all cylinders . These continuous digs at the blokes honesty and integrity are way below the belt . Its that sort of mischevious gossip that will bring the strongest of organisations undone . Silent whispers . Cook is the least of our worries . Wrapped the bloke came to our Club .

I did a bit of work in Corporate Transitioning, and you are spot on with your comment. Undermining and rumour mongering are not healthy.

The club is imploding once more, and this coincides with his impending departure.

That says to me he has failed in his duties when we appointed him. Nice top up for his super though.

And @#$%&! LOL if internet forum gossip is a cause of this - bloody helllll.

Not you on TC Trav. I'm making a general comment in relation to a sentence in Mickstars post.

You should watch some of the crap on social media. All of them. I haven't been able to watch them to the end such is the vitriol and outrageous comments from these experts after 2 small losses....well the first loss was a bit hard to take. A lot of people watch these outlets, and the combination of them all does create hysteria and with hysteria the blind believe and follow and it snow balls from there.

After only 2 rounds.

We've made Finals last 2 years. We could make them again. Fancy that.

Bondi it's the same for the 17 other clubs (maybe excluding the expansion states where there's less scrutiny and care factor) - this is the new environment and new normal we're all in.

We have to deal with it. Winners win and the rest look for excuses.

I am accepting of it, but I think its too much in the players favour not the club.

The player doesn't have a salary cap, the club does.

I'm sorry Bondi, I'm not following you here. How does this have anything to do with player power? I thought we were discussing the actions of fans?
