I'm sure it's not going to come to this, but Geelong fans seem to think they can walk Smith to the draft if the dogs don't accept pick 17.

If they try, do we have a crack at him with 12 or 14? Assuming he makes it that far.

I definitely would, but only if we had spoken to him and he was keen to come

“Carlton is eyeing west coast’s pick 3 to nab a midfielder considered a complete package despite a year ravaged by injuries” (O’Sullivan)

Sounds like that’s our guy

For us, being ravaged by injuries IS part of the package

With Cunners, Marchbank, Martin all gone, we need to draft wisely. That’s three massage beds to fill!

I hope for once Carlton dont fall in love with one player and made up their minds already.

And if the top 5 are equal, then select what we dont have and the one currently less injury prone.

Please Carlton get it right.........

Finn it will be (assuming he doesn’t go before 3)

With his cousin giving him the jumper on draft night.

Busiest person at Carlton would be the strapper.

Do we get #3 and #26 or just pick #3?
If the former than I'm OK with the deal otherwise I'd rather keep #12 and #14.

So lets discuss list balance. Where do we sit potentially after this trade period.

Hypothetical

Pick 3 - Mid
Ben Campo - Mid
Lucas - Running back

I feel we need KPP. We have similar types. The Holland boys. Bins. Lord. etc

Would have liked a tall back. And a medium plays tall forward.

Just hope there's no call for the person who holds up the screen.

Agree - that's why I'm hoping for pick in the 20's as well. Maybe could find a promising tall defender with a selection in this range.
