They're basically saying in that second when you're lunging, you have to get your arms around the waist but under the arms, so you don't pin the arms. What a joke.

No Owies this week unless they appeal the tribunal. As a lawyer I can't see how they grade the impact as medium when the player basically gets up and goes about his business, no concussion test and plays out the game. Appeal on the grounds of manifest error in the grading and even unreasonable decision grounds would seem to me to have legs. Whether they take it on is another matter.

I just don't get it with this Tackling nonsense.

How did Owies get Rewarded by the Empires for an incorrect disposal and thus he Gets a Free kick, then gets suspended for that same Play?

Those Tackles happen so quick, no player can ever learn to adjust or change.

The AFL needs to apply some common sense in this Mad Political correctness World. They are scared to be sued by former players so they are taking this Duty of Care to an extreme!

Please Ban all Tackling from the Game. Let's make it Touch Football or Garlic Football.

Christian broke all stupidity records suspending a bloke that the umpire thought executed a perfect tackle and rewarded him with a free kick. If the umpire thought it was all.good to the point of giving a free, why did idiot Christian essentially overrule him. Umpire is the important person in this instance, surely. Appeal on principle!

The AFL is a joke …. You have a precedent in the Dangerfield case, tribunal nah the AFL loves Danger, next, you have Jones tackle on the same weekend which is graded low, both players get up, nah we want Jones to play in is first final, next, they try the good character test like Charlie Cameron, nah the AFL loves him but they hate Carlton.

Is it Butters from port has been fined so many times for punching, never suspended but a bloke does a perfect tackle and get rubbed out.

Where is the consistency?

One’s love of the game wanes just a little further.

To be fair we spent the whole 3 hours on Sunday telling the ump he was useless so not sure we can play that card!!

I can’t believe the medium impact assessment was upheld. It has to be low impact if the Jones one was.

This is the biggest problem I have with it, Jones whipped his opponent into the ground with more force than Owies' momentum pushed Higgins forward.

Yes but we can't have Liam missing his first final over a silly little tackle.

3 weeks for Pickett was a joke, too.

It's just a damn popularity contest with these freaks.

Medium impact to who? Based on what?

Is this a virtual reality world?
I think it's medium impact to Owies because he misses a week.

It had no effect on Higgins whatsoever

You have to appeal this ...... it's madness

If it was medium impact then Higgins should've been taken off the ground for a HIA.

I'm sure the AFL have launched a robust investigation into the way St Kilda handled their potentially concussed player........

I can't stand Pickett, but the MRO/Tribunal bent him over.
